I have a bad back and sometimes can't carry my usual CCW on my belt and during those times I switch to a Sig P232. I have both the alloy and stainless model. The alloy is for carry and the stainless for the range as the weight difference between them is substantial.
The only dislikes I've noted are;
* the lack of a slide release. Like the PPK the slide is held open on the last round, but to hold the slide open you need an empty mag.
* the slide catch easily moves around during cleaning... an annoyance.
* lack of aftermarket night sight installation.
Major feature and likes;
* very light weight
* perfect ergonomics. One of the best natural pointers I've used. This is an easy gun to shoot quickly.
* Very slim and easy to conceal.
* very reliable.
* Easy and fast takedown... even easier than the Beretta 81 series.
* sights are good, trigger is good, (DA/SA or DAO available), it's an easy gun to shoot well.
* there's a huge market and many of these are available either new or used at very good prices. I've paid as little as $315 to a high of $450 for a stainless model with Nill grips.
* grips; standard plastic, Nill, Hogue or Crimson Trace are available. One of them will work for you
I'm a big fan of the Sig because it satisfies most of my needs for a CCW, it's accurate and I shoot it very well. It's in the same quality class as the Beretta and well worth it's price IMHO. I carry it in one of three shoulder holsters. I have a OWB holster but don't use it.
Two of the four, yes four. I did say I'm a fan. The botton alloy model is the one I carry.
