I have a Belgian made Ferdinand Drissen.
It is a double shotgun juxtaposed,8.5mm/5.4mm,made in 1902.
The 5.4mm barrel it is rifled.

I have a belgium made centauer reproduction of the 1860 colt army. Bought it last week at a gun show in tyler, texas. Got a great deal i think on a gun that is collected by some. These reproductions were being made in belgium before the italians got into the business. They started production of 1860 colt army reproductions in 1959. Its called the "1960 new army" model. Centenial trade mark. My first bp gun. Having a lot of fun with it.

I just found a Bayard at my grandfather's house. It's very rusty, but the slide moves and the trigger mechanism is as good as new.
Thew only thing that worries me is the rust inside the barrel. A lot of WD40 and a very fine sandpaper helped a bit, but I'm taking it to the gunsmith. I hope he can get it to work properly, since it would make a nice backup gun

PS: I also found a Mauser WTP1 but it's in worse conditions. The slide wouldn't even move. It does now, but I don't think there are too much hope for that piece.

I have four Browning Hi-Powers (3 9mm & 1 .40 S&W), HK, Sig, CZ. I think thats it for Euro guns I own. Browning Hi-Powers Rock!!

In 1968 I purchased a 9x19mm Browning/FN High Power with two spare magazines. I carried these in a bandolier holster as my personal weapon on my deployments to Vietnam, flying off aircraft carriers. Then, when I retired, I stuck it in my sock drawer (along with three magazines still loaded with Navy ammo) for three decades, until I became interested again in shooting. I now shoot it at a local range weekly -- standard pressure ammo of course, along with one of my revolvers.

Good luck on your newly chosen government!

Cordially, Jack

I have an FN marked high-power, it is my favorite 9mm. I know a lot of folks that own Brownings, many, were made by FN. I have heard our armed forces use a lot of FN guns as well, but those were probably manufactured here.

RickH,

I believe all Browning Hi Powers are made by FN, imported by Browning. I don't think any FN marked Hi Powers are imported anymore. I don't think that Browning actually makes anything, but I could be wrong.

I've owned 2 Belgian hi-powers (sadly both got traded)
I currently own 2 older Belgian BAR's one in 308, and one in 270.

I have a Hi Power 9mm, 2 Bayard 16 Ga shotguns with outside hammers, A bayard 12 ga also with outside hammers, A 16 Ga Auto 5 shotgun. I think that covers my belgian guns. I sold a 25 acp baby Browning about a year ago.

Last year I was in Herstal... They don't offer guided tours in their factory, do they? :D

Here is my Belgian gun: (I also have a FAL but it's made in Argentina, not Belgium)
