I used to name them. A few of them have names, but there came a time when I realized I wouldn't be able to remember them all if I continued.

My AR Carbine is "Ole Trusty"

Where I come from, "Ole" is a Scandinavian buddy or what people yell at bullfights.

That would be a unique gun-name indeed, (unless maybe you mean Ol' Trusty)?

I've only named one. I named it "Grits" when I found out we bought the gun on the same day Grits Gresham passed away. We bought two that day, but since "Grits" is a "family" gun, it is the only one given a name.

I name some of my guns, but not all of them. My Glock 20 10mm is Doomsday. AK47 is Armageddon. Remington custom 870 Tactical is Widow Maker. My Colt officers .45 acp stainless with stag grips is Vanilla Creme.

I would have picked "Not yet" but it wasn't an option.

I am seriously considering naming my favorite gun, but a) I haven't decided which one is my favorite and b) I haven't yet determined if it's male or female.

I name them well enough to tell them apart.

Most of my pistols are 1911s. Johnny's Kimber, Dru's Kimber (former owners), the compact, the polymer, the para, the .22, etc.

I simply call my Glock "The 19" or "The Beater."

My ARs are named by caliber. The .22, 9, 5.56, and .45.

My cars are named in a similar fashion. Although I often call my wife's escort "The GoKart" (I drive a caprice or F150) and my project car is commonly referred to as "My Mistress."

Depends. I never met a guy named Karen so I'm assuming you're a lady. If the pistol runs good, its female as well. If not, its a guy.

You see, when guys get mad at inanimate objects, we often call them a derogatory term normally reserved for females. When ladies get mat at inanimate object, they normally call them a derogatory term used for males. Ironically, they both start with "B."

Zach S - thanks for the gender lesson :)

My new favorite gun is an S&W 19-3, blue, with 4" barrel and crimson trace grips. I haven't had it long enough to determine its gender based on how well it works, so I'm going to have to go with something that fits both possible scenarios. So, I hereby christen it "Angel" - after a guy with a girly name who killed a zombie or two in his day.

Not all of them but I call my Remington 40X .222 "Precious" and my 1948 Colt Government ny "Birthday Gun". One of my AR15's is my "Homesick" gun with a surplus SP1 upper and three prong flash suppressor just like the Mattel they gave me.

Guns are tools. Thats like naming your wrenches.

I have an antique pipe wrench named Yoda. :D

I don't generally name my guns, but I could see myself naming ones that I really like or ones that I get for fun.

I might end up with a "Vera."

I've thought about naming a pistol "Lucille," like B. B. King's guitars.

I've always thought it would be cool to have "Big Stick" engraved on a pistol, in reference to Teddy's favorite quote.

I've always thought about getting a Chinese Winchester '87 copy and modifying it a la Terminator 2. I'd call that one "The Govenator." :D

So, I don't currently have any named guns, but I'm open to the idea.

My Gold Cup MK IV Series 80 was "Betsy", after Mike Hammer's 45 auto.

Sadly, all the others were and are anonymous.

Guns are like kids you should only name your favorite ones that you will never get rid of ;-)

two of my favs are my first bolt action rifle ever a Browning A-bolt 270 that I named Faith. I get to say things like "I don't have to worry about the government taking over by force I have Faith!" hahahaha
and my Beretta 8045 mini Cougar I named Elizabeth, cause Elizabeth Hurley is the ultimate "cougar"

No, I've considered it though. Just haven't found any that fit yet, so the .40 is the .40 the .45 is the .45 the .25 is the .25..........
