yes and no !! i think ? maybe ??

while instructing my wife on how to two hand hold and shoot her .38 revolver, i was off to her right side, she fired one round and i felt a stinging on the left side of my nose/cheek and blood was pouring down over my lips and dripping off my chin, after we got the bleeding under control there was a sliver of lead about 1/16 inch protruding, she got the tweezers from the first aid kit and pulled a half moon shaped bullet shaving from my nose, the bleeding began again but a hard compress stopped it..., NO !! i did not go to a doctor or Hosp., i am certain most of you know why.

... only once ...

By an AK in a highly organized and nationally supported match in S. E. Asia, in 1968, in a little berg called Hue by the locals - more precisely, at the Citadel in Hue. Didn't realize it until someone pulled me to the ground and yelled for a medic.

... the other guy didn't need assistance to the ground.

Not by a cartridge or shotshell...

but hit in the back part of my shoulder with a .177 pellet gun while hiking in the woods. Still never found out where it came from or from who. Did it hurt!?! Freakin' A it hurt, it broke the skin and was embedded in me!

Hell, if we're counting BB guns...

I've been shot about 4,927 times with airsoft and/or paintballs.

One time crashing around in the field with my nephew (my age) and hunting Starlings he took a shot at one. Bounced the lead pellet off of a cinderblock warehouse building a good 75 yards away, came back and hit me in the leg. It didn't break the skin, I just went to swat at that pesky beetle or what have you that smacked into my leg and found... a flat air rifle pellet.

Got shot in the middle finger of my left hand with a CO2 BB gun in my youth. Lodged in the skin.

I think that's about all of them.

I've never been shot, but I have been shot at (know the feeling of being hunched behind a tree and that sound of a bullet flicking through the brush while rednecks take shots at you in the woods). I've had a Winchester 30-30 pulled on me (by a fellow who thought I was trying to break into his shed, when I pulled my creditentials and he helped me get my truck unstuck) and had a redneck drive up when we landed our helicopter after doing a recon for boundary corners with a shotgun who though we were AL-Kayduh.

Yup. .22 or .25 through a glass window at a pool hall. I was bending over to shoot the Q ball as the round came through the window. Popped me in the right side.

No malice intended; some moron outside capped one off. It was moving pretty slowly after hitting the glass. It penetrated skin and stopped against a rib. Docs took it out and I was home the same night.

Still have a small scar. But it scared the snot outta me.

The closest I came was when I made a mistake of using light bullseye target loads, (185 grain cast semi wadcutters), on bowling pins. I hit a pin, and I saw the bullet coming right back at me. Took me in the chin and knocked me off of my feet. I kept that bullet! It barely drew blood, but my chin was bruised and sore the next couple of days.

Two BBs to the skull... one from ricochet off a tree, the other from the BB shooting out of breech that wasn't locked properly. Never drew blood. A chainsaw, on the other hand...
Since the BBs were steel, they probably qualify to HCI as armor-piercing cop-killer bullets.

Not shot. I've been cut by lead fragments shooting out the side of some fellow's out-of-time revolver, but that hardly counts.

Well, does paintballing count? I was in a sandbag barricade, and there was this kid walking by right behind me. I feel this big sting in my shoe, and i look up and i see him saying "Ooo shoot! sorry man, the bamboo leaves must've been caught on the trigger, are you ok?". I believed him, there were a lot of bamboo leaves dangling, and we were in a dense forest.

3 TIMES UNFORTUNATELY

I've been shot at if that counts.

This is NO BULL and nothing to be proud of..This all happened when I was a teenager and I guess It was just part of living in a not so great neighborhood. 1st time was at 7-11 where someone just sprayed and prayed while we were getting out of the car to buy nachos, luckily no one was hurt, but all of the stores front glass windows were shattered. 2nd time was after a fight with another kid in downtown San Francisco and I was chasing him after a squable. While I was chasing him he decide to shoot me while I was chasing after him. I heard bullets wizzing by me and thats when I decided to hide behind a postal box. Again luckily he did not come back to finish me off. The 3rd time was when my friend's purse was snatched outside of Safeway. My friiend and I decided to chase the robber, but he turned around and shot at us. I also heard bullets wizzing past me and then I decided to jump in a canal to take cover.

Wow, when I saw almost 25% saying yes, I thought this would be worth reading.

Paintballs?
BBs?
Pellet guns?
Ricochets?

Pretty weak, guys.

BB Guns

Been shot at by railroad conductors, I guess they were using rock salt or something ... back when I was a little kid. As a teenager an adult neighbor used to shoot at me with a BB gun when he thought I was getting too close to his yard. In my early 20's when I lived in Detroit (20 years ago) I heard some shots up close ... mighta been shot at as I'm a whitey.

Rabbit hunting, #6 shot, a heavy coat caught most of it but 5 pellets went up the sleeve and into my left forearm... 3 are still there 30 years later. I think getting shot HURTS no matter what the calibre.

Shot in the back by a .22lr. It didn't even penetrate to the skin but it hurt, I couldn't breath deep for hours, had a huge bruise and lots of pain for a couple of days. it was point blank and these guys were walking behind us as we were getting ready to go shooting out on a buddys property. This guy was a newcomer to the group and the guys were teasing him about his .22lr. He thought he would be a comedian and didn't check the gun, he pointed it at my back from a couple of feet away and bam got me.

Been shot at many times in my life but that was the only time I ever got hit, and it was some dumbass who did it by accident.

One time, in the shin, just to the right of the shin bone on my right leg. I was 15 years old, and out plinking with a friend and his father with our .22's, and my friend had his rifle cradled in the crook of his arm. He turned sideways such that the gun was pointed at my leg from about 6-7 yards away, and somehow touched the trigger. The round was a .22 short, but it still tore some things up in there. Fortunately, there were almost no lasting effects. Wanna see my scar? :)
