Why are my jacketed rounds so much more accurate than my hardcast loads?

I'll add a word of warning to anyone considering ordering from Western Bullets -- don't!
I ordered some bullets from them a couple of yours ago. Paid through their checkout system, but they never delivered. Several phone calls, and emails to them went unanswered. It was only around $60, so it was not a terribly expensive lesson as it was past the dispute time on paypal. So, caveat emptor!

Depends on your goals. I shoot light bullets in a 3006 because I want a minimal recoil load to practice with. Horses for courses.

Yes, that was my goal as well - make the 30-30 more shoulder-friendly for some new shooters.
