Why are so many gun dealers dishonest?

It takes two to tango.

A seller is only as honest as his customer is informed.

Someone should start a thread entitled "Why are so many gun buyers ignorant?".

Someone should start a thread entitled "Why are so many gun buyers ignorant?".
Or "Why are so many gun buyers dishonest?"

I can think of many instances where I watched a customer try to pass off nonfunctional firearms as working perfectly in a store trade deal, potentially sticking the shop with the mess. I have lost count of the times I have seen the aftermatch of a customer switching price tags on shelf stock - even switching ammo between boxes to get it cheap and stick the next guy. And so forth.

People are people.

Some are decent. Some are not. The majority lay somewhere in between in that gray area, kept in the gray by a fear of being caught and emboldened into being less-than-decent when there is sufficient profit and low risk.

That's life.

Expecting the gun community to be somehow a better slice of humanity is not logical, nor is it likely to be born out.

Majority of FFLs are full of BS? Really?

hahaha. You should ask yourself the same question. Could you answer it honestly? You have been full of BS to me before, Freakshow10mm.
In fact, you have outright lied to me regarding a business deal.

Bingo! ;)

In the end the customer gets to vote with his/her wallet.

There are NO DEALs at a gun show.

Saturday at the Springfield MO gun show

500 .38 158 Gr. lead bullets 20.00
FAL parts kit 225.00

And that where I traded a Finnish Mosin for a Russian SKS

Greed has taken the place of honor in men. Unfortunately government is ruining the value of our money so men have no honor or the money greed drove them to get by the time this is done. What will they do when there is no money to be greedy for??

Many people with business licenses are dishonest. Not all but many. This is one of the reasons we are leaning towards more government regulation.

Yes, and thank God government will take all of those worries away from you......

They're here to help......
