Gun's are in my house for protection.
Gun's are in my life because I enjoy shooting, cleaning & reloading.
I own & use hand gun's, shotgun's & rifle's.;)
Why is this the most asked question in a gun lover's life?:banghead:

I have always had them, have been around and using them as long as I can remember.
I do not fear them or those who own them.
They are protection and food gathering tools and they feed the inner need of a man.
They are heritage and history. They're worth fighting for.

And besides all that philosophical stuff, they're neat!

Why Do I Own Guns??!!

Wow talk about a hanging curve ball, low and out side just like I like em'.:D :D
The answer is simple, and I quote from a document long forgotten by our so called public servants in the Nations Capitol. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
No one in this nation could need a better reason.

Love to all of my fellow Americans out there.

Thats like asking me why i own a hammer, a wrench, or an air pump. Like someone has already stated they are tools.

If I said it was to compensate for my small genitals would you even believe me?

I have a gun because it's one of the best tools available for protecting my loved ones, myself, and my possessions.

Because I like them. Actually, I like buying them almost as much as shooting them. Maybe I'm obsessed. Is that a problem?:neener:

1911JMB, I had to laugh when you wrote that. Because all my life I have heard. The bigger the gun the smaller the dick. They say guys have big guns to make up for what they don't have. I am not saying any thing about you. But thank you for the laugh.

I have them for fun/recreation.

Most of mine are historical relics.

I compete with them (my sport).

I hunt with them.

I have them for self defense (never need them for that, and hope I don't).

And, after watching the new Dawn of the Dead, you never know when the zombies will take over the world! :D Funny how they reminded me of the UN! :scrutiny:

:uhoh: I don't own any, would have the nasty things around me. They should be outlawed and all be melted down for car fenders. Oh I forgot, there is no metal car fender anymore.

You all know I'm kidding, I hope..... P.T.

I grew up with guns around all the time. To me they are just like the shovel that is used to turn the water into the field for irrigation. They are a tool for gathering food and defending what is yours from four-legged and two-legged predators. They also make me feel warm and fuzzy all over when I pick one up.

1) I like guns, just like some people like fast cars or paintings
2) Target sports
3) Defence of my person and others
4) Defence of my freedom

sd and other. i just really enjoy them, and appreciate the older ones craftsmanship and beauty. i like shooting my '42 Mosin and wonder who had it "back then" . Also my beautiful and dark red 1915 303 , It has a 600 meter zero peened in. this was some guys sniper rifle , to shoot long ways across those hell on earth trenches, way back then. What happened to this guy? did he make it? And so it goes, I love everything about them, especially their enherent beauty.

I own guns because, in the long run,

if I rent them, the hourly rental fee is astronomically higher than the purchase price and I can't even take them home with me.
