Why no AKs that use AR mags?

I have not heard of an AK that takes AR mags but there is an AR15 lower that takes AK47 mags

The FNC doesn't look like an AK though. I don't know about the OP, but to me, the look of a weapon is part of the appeal. I'm just guessin here but, maybe he wants an AK, as in an AK that actually looks like an AK, but accepts AR mags.
