Why the NRA is against UBC

We already have UBC in the form of NICS and form 4473.

There was an interview on NPR the other day where a consultant from Mayors Against "Illegal" Guns (aka Bloomberg) basically stated that UBC is a first step to registration. Of course, he does the usual smoke and mirrors and claim that it would be a very long road to registration. What he neglects to mention is that the purchase information is kept in electronic format indefinitely.

Here's a link to the transcript of the interview.

Anyone that says UBC is ok needs to do some research on the process, then go do some research on some of histories' worst atrocities.

JUST SAY (hell) NO to UBC. :fire:

ACTUALLY!!!

You said, anti's think the NRA is controlled by gun manufactures???

They are. Look at their board members. Some will immediately ring a bell, since their last names are gun companies. Others are hidden. Enjoy.

While I am not sure 1+1=2, let me say that if the NRA does everything it can to protect the 2A, I really don't care what ulterior motives they may have in regard to being a lobby for gun manufactures.
They do more than any other pro-2A group that I am aware of, therefore I support them.

vector you now have to give your SSN to renew your driver licsence because of the demonic patriot act

The reason that the NRA is against Universal Background Checks is because they're pointless. Even law enforcement agrees that it'll be impossible to enforce this law.

Illegal guns will still be sold to criminals on every street corner by people who don't give a damn and your average citizen will still only sell to people they know very well.
