Ok Guys here's the deal. While digging through my "STUFF" I found this old Mod 42 Winchester pump .410. (1952)

It is good condition BUT it has a old Lyman Choke on the barrel that is missing the Choke tube. I have not had any luck finding any .410 chokes for it.

So now the question is----Do I keep on looking for a choke tube or have the Barrel cut, Lyman Choke removed and have it replaced with a Screw-in choke.

Anyone have any experience with this or suggestions. Do they make screw in chokes for .410. OR any ideas where I can find a choke tube----I do not care if it is full, mod, or cyl bore as I plan on keeping the Shotgun..

42 barrel

Right now your barrel is probably worth $400 to $500. Cut it off and it's worth nothing and your 42 loses at least 50% of its value or more. Shoot it like it is, you have a cylinder choke, perfect for skeet or quail shooting.

A factory cutts increases the value immensely in good condition it is a a 1000 dollar gun all day

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!! I truly mean it. I have been sick and can't always look on Gun broker---BUT I have looked and never any luck. Thanks again for taking the time to help. I did contact the seller--told him what I had and if it would fit --to mark it sold--THANKS to YOU.

I live in Winchester Texas and collect old Colts, Marlins and Winchesters.

Yep, an easy 1000 dollar gun. If you cut the factory compensator off, a 200 dollar gun.....chris3
