I am replacing the hammer spring on a Winchester model 100, but am having a bear of a time keepin the trigger lock (part A16 in diagram) in place as I put the hammer/strut a and spring back in place. Anyone done one of these and have a tip for me? 3523_1936_797-trigger-mechanism-submachine-guns-22lr.jpg

I've never worked on one but a slave pin to hold the parts together might help.I assume that the trigger lock goes inside the slot in the trigger.

In addition to the slave pin I sometimes will use a bit of sticky grease to "glue" a part like this in place while assembling. It is easily removed with brake parts cleaner the straw attached to the nozzle afterwards.
