I see that Winchester advertises that the FBI has selected the Winchester Supreme Elite 'brand' as their ammo of choice. Does anyone have any information on why/how they made their selection?

I will mention something i was told yesterday while buying a new .40
I asked for Hornady CD ammo but they was out so i took a box of TAP, But i asked the salesman who i only deal with as hes steered me straight alot, So i asked about the PDX1 which is the ammo your asking about.
He told me the bonding process they use causes ridges or dimples on the bullet thats been known to cause feeding issues in some guns.
That doesn't mean i wont buy some to try it as nothing in ammo is an universal truth.

Prefer The Law Enforcement Version of Winchester Bonded but,

In a pinch I will use the PDX-1. I have never had a problem with them at all, out of a Variety of Pistols. I have three XD-M's [ Both 9mm and .40] a couple of SW-MP's [both 9mm and .40 cal] I also have a Taurus Model 845 and a Taurus 24/7 both .45 cal that also function Great with them. I do not think they are quite the same as the LE version of Winchester Bonded. But as a Defensive Load- I trust my life to them as well. They are High Quality Ammunition.:) As is Most American Major MFG. Ammo [Winchester-Federal-Speer-Remington]

The Best to You and Yours!
