You can buy a bulk pack of 100 rounds of 9MM for only 10 bucks.

The stuff shoots pretty good. It seems average on the accuracy, so for the price its seemingly a good deal.

The question that I have is how good is this ammo really?

Does anyone have a Chrony that could run some of this ammo through it?

I want to know how consistant this stuff is, and what the average velocity is.

Winchester White Box

George,
I believe this has been covered about two months ago. Do a search, there was a lot of comments on this ammo. Overall, I believe that most people like it. Some felt that it is underpowered, thus leading to a jam.

I have shot a lot of it through my CZ 75B SA. With this combination, it is as accurate as my 5" Kimber Target with ball ammo.

I personally believe this to be one of the best buys in centerfire ammo.

For the money, am still using Win Q4172 (115 fmj @ 1180 fps from CZ-75B). These are 6.50/box of 50 at Wally world.

While slightly more expensive, they are full powered and more accurate in variety of pistols owned, although your own experience may differ.

Am also wary of shooting 1000's of brass jacketed through favorite pistols. While not absolutely sure, beleive the brass jacketed may wear out rifling quicker than copper jacketed.

I shoot the "Whitebox" in a Ruger P95, and a Kahr PM9.
Both guns love the stuff.
No jams, seems as accurate as other ammo, and doesn't seem any dirtier.
I wish they made value packs in a few other calibers.

i picked up 5 boxes of this 100rd/box winchester yesterday for $10.76+tax. i didn't know it's brass jacketed, i thought it's copper jacketed.

i called walmart in lompoc, i don't think they sell ammo, so actually i didn't know walmart in oxnard sells ammo, since afterall this is DPRK. with 5 boxes 100rd win and 8 boxes 45blazer 230gr and the sales tax, i saved like $15 than buying it at walmart compared to buying at natchezss after shipping.
what's the difference really between the Q4172 and the USA9MMVP other than one is packed in 50rd/box, the other is 100rd/box?

oh yeah, i use this in my Ruger KP95. that gun eats anything, winchesters, olympic, blazer. some 600rds+, no jams or malfunctions. maybe i should try Wolf for the ruger :D

You'll get "full power" chrono results with a 4.5/5 inch barrel.

I've used that value pack white box stuff for numerous IDPA matches and even the heaviest poppers fall to the 115/9mm. I've had no ammunition related stoppages/jams of any kind using this ammo. Its a great value, almost as cheap as reloading.

Try a box, after all its only ten bucks.

The USA Brand ammo in .45ACP (AKA Wincehster White Box) works flawlessly in both my Ruger KP-90 and Springfield Champion 1911-A1.

Don't have a 9 Milli, but the WWB stuff has been good in all calibres I've tried...38Spl, 357Mag, 45ACP

I've been buying & shooting the stuff for almost 2 years & 3500+ rounds. I use it for plinking, range & IDPA. There is nicer ammo available, but value wise, it's hard to beat.

It`s good range ammo for someone who hasn`t got the money to buy case lot. 100 rounds at $11 doesn`t hurt as much as a couple of hundred on the credit card at the end of the month.:D

Pro Bass sports recently had a sale on 9mm Win White Box for $3.88 / box, 5 box limit. I got there late and received a rain check for 5 boxes. I went in to pick up 5 boxes and they offered to sell me all I wanted at $3.88 / box.

Stuff plinks real good.

Only question I have is why is the price so low. Sorta makes me wonder if Win is sourcing its cheap ammo off-shore. Wouldn't be the first company to do so.

Where do you find case lots cheaper than Wallyworld? That's 109.70 per 1000 rounds.

Beats ammoman by a long shot, and everything else I've been able to find. Local SD instructor cant' do better than $159/1000 (that's before shipping).

Winchester 100 round 9mm value packs

I buy it all the time to shoot out of my Ruger PC9GR 9mm carbine!
it's very reliable, excellent practice/range ammo. Cheaper than
mail order ammo! even cheaper than gunshow prices! I hope
WALMART keeps selling these value packs for a while.

I got tired of going to Wally-World and always finding they'd sold out of the stuff just before I got there. So now I just call ahead and order by the case. Saves me time and wasted energy looking for it, and keeps the sporting goods manager happy with larger-volume sales.

That wouldn't surprise me. Don't get me wrong, Winchester is my favorite ammo manufacter, but from what I've heard they outsourced their 7.62X25mm to a factory in the Czech Republic or some other former Eastern Block country. Anyways....

pretty good stuff

I was pretty happy the day I discovered these boxes. For about 8 months I have been feeding this stuff through my Grocks and have had maybe 1 or 2 misfires/jams/whatever. Even works pretty good in my Sub2000. Although, the .45 whitebox seems to be of a bit better quality.

I've been using the 9mm WWB for about 2 years now & have been quite satisfied. I've only recently started buying the 45's too. My only complaint is that they tend to be a tad on the smokey side
