Wolf SR Primers from Wideners

You think the thin Wolf primer cup will stretch the primer pocket a few tenths? Or does the primer pocket squeeze the thin primer cup diameter down a few tenths?

This being the internet, you can pretty much find someone saying anything you want. Over on The Firing Line forums they seem to think that the Wolfs are about half a thousandth smaller than CCI:
What I think is, the primer that is a couple tenths larger in diameter stretches out the primer pocket, mainly during the stress and extreme pressure of firing.

I am speaking from experience with a Wolf SRM lot from 2009. The brass I was using is Lapua 6mmBR and BR cases made into 6mm Dasher cases.

The main point is, Wolf is NOT consistent. Some cups are silver, some are gold, some people(alot) have FTF, some people can shoot 10K without a problem. My gold cups are pretty hard, so if guys say they are thin and soft now, it shows there is a consistency problem.

I mainly shoot 1000 yard benchrest, so I need 100% reliability. I find that type of reliability with CCi 450's from many lots. Lot to lot, they simply shoot the same.

FWIW, I have confidence in my stock of Wolf LPP for 45ACP. Has anyone ever had a problem with Russian LARGE pistol/rifle primers?

It's well known that the Russian SRP don't throw off as much heat/spark as domestic primers. Maybe the compound they use is just not as hot, and only so much can fit in the small primer cup.
