The dog was cold? In California?
That woman should have seen my brother's dog. It used to sleep at the foot end of his bed and they both liked to sleep with the window open regardless of season. I think the lowest temperature he has recorded in his bedroom in the morning was -7C, that's about 20 deg F. The dog always had a nice winter fur and lived to the age of 12, so it can't have been too harmful.
Last night I got stuck in the snow on my way into my own garage. Had to engage the four wheel drive to get unstuck. But spring is coming, we're now down to less than a foot of snow on the roof.
