Would you buy a LEO Trade In?

I was refering to the price. Seemed steep for a used gun. expecially a LEO trade-in and not a well kept privately owned model, considering the new prices. I have seen the pre-ban mags sell for $25 to $30. Now if the gun has been factory refurbished I could understand, but not just a straight trade-in.

OK, I went back and re-read your post and finally got what ya ment. Now I know what the smilely with the ???'s is for :banghead:

Anyway, I think I got a deal. Most hi-caps will net $100.00 or more. I haven't seen or come across any for much less.

T/S

Edited to add: I'm not sure if the G19 was refurbished or if it was at straight up trade in.

Would I? You betcha. Most LE handguns are carried lots and shot little. At most they are only fired at qual time, cleaned and carried for another 6 months to a year. The ones offered for resale are factory checked and repaired (cosmetics excepted) before being put out on the market.

LEO trade ins:
Guns: maybe. Depends on the gun.
Ford Crown Victorias: not no, but HECK NOOOOO!

:D

I have two friends (who don't know each other) both driving surplus police cars. Why ? I have no idea.

A friend of a friend I met at the shooting range is a LEO and he said he gets a new pistol (USP) every three years (he's in Homeland Security/Border Patrol) so LEO trade-ins sound like a deal if they have what you like.

I have bought many police trade ins over the years.
Generally they look rough from holster wear, but are fine mechanically.
I just got a Sig P220 that was a DPS gun, rough on the outside, fine on the inside. :D
