Would you call in a CCW

I obey the laws, but I don't agree with them. The gentleman who stated that that as far he was concerned, a copy of the Constitution was his CCW license--I like that.

Show me where the US constitution says you can carry a weapon concealed.

My reading indicates that the Constitution does not limit or even address the manner of "bearing arms."

I can bear one in my hat. And another one in my jock.

Problem?

I could also carry a knife and a pike. They're also "arms."

Problem?

I can carry a long arm with a sling or without. Or at hunter's ready or at Right Shoulder Arms.

Problem?

thats exactly my point. It does not say you can nor does is say you can't.

I think some people read to much into the 2a, and also tend to forget other parts of the US cons... ( btw this happends for both pro and opps )

Certainly we can work for what we consider 2A rights. However, at any particular time it means what the US Supreme Court says it means. It doesn't make a nickel's worth of difference if one agrees or not.

If he disobeys the law, as the SCOTUS says, he can go to jail screaming that it is unconstitutional, but he will be charged and jailed anyway.

Jerry

I know what you're trying to say. I, and many others, have been trained to think that way. At the ripe age of 34, I now disagree. In fact, it does matter how We The People interpret the Constitution if there's enough of us.

Who cares if the guy has a permit or not. If he aint bugging me or up to any trouble that I can see then good for him.

I have pledged my troth to the Constitution of The United States and that of the State of Illinois--both ennumerate the right of the citizen to bear arms.

Lacking other evidence of wrong doing or harm intended on another, why would I seek to deliver a fellow citizen to the judgment of laws known to be unjust and unconstitutional?

I do not hold myself bound by unjust and unconstitutional law.

For all who say they will call in based on behaviors and appearance, please describe what behaviors and appearance make you suspicious. I am sorry but I want to know why some people get a pass while others don't when they are obviously breaking the law in all probability (with the possibility that said CCWer is off duty LEO in these states).

I would let it pass. Unless he's being an a-hole.

I would hate to have the same thing happen to me, just because somebody caught a glimpse of a print.
