Would you trade a Norinco SKS for a RAR in 7.62x39?

I took the SKS out and shot it. I decided to order this stock for it.

It's reliable and can hit clays at 100 yards with the crude sights.

A decent SKS can embarrass a lot of more expensive firearms and easily. I've seen it too often to deny it.

I don't need the cash. It's more about freeing up space. My gun locker is over full. I can buy an unmolested Norinco for less than he offered me for this modified one.

As you can buy an unmolested ChiCom Norinco for less; the equation changed. If it was an unmolested Chicom or Russian; it would be different.

ChiCom firearms or ammo won't be imported anymore. The American market is an odd place because after you can't buy one; prices increase. To see what I'm saying check today's prices of MAK, Norinco, Poly Tech, Molot, or Maadi.

I'm another one who doesn't sell firearms.

I do have the original parts 1200 miles away.

I can get the original stock for this one. I drug it out and shot it. I was reminded why I never sold it. It's just fun.
I’m going to be in the market for a SKS at the gun show next month. Classic Firearms normally has a table or five, and they’re advertising Norinco SKS’s in good condition for $300.

They are fun to shoot.

You're making the decision a lot harder.. :D

The original parts increase it's value.

I have a type 56. Literally and with practice, it is faster to recharge it than swap mags than an AK. Crude sights, but a longer sight radius. It is a fun rifle.

I decided not to sell. I don't like selling things anyway.

Leaving it as is or converting it back to original? I'd take it back to original or at least buy the parts to do so.

I don't sell firearms myself so I get what you're saying and agree with it. However, as I've been blessed with being employed until I retired, I never needed to sell one.
I did establish a rule "no new calibers" and my wife laughed at me when I told her.
Ouch..

I have the original mag and receiver cover in my gun room. The original stock and gas tube are at my Dad's house 5 states away. I ordered a monte Carlo stock to try on it.
I will be back in Michigan memorial day week and will probably get the original then.
