Wow, I actually found .22LR on sale at local store!

A lot at the local Academy this morning. Picked up a couple of hundred Minimags. They had some 333 packs of Federal.

the local field and stream store had a pallet of federal 325 packs for $19.

Not as good as the 550 rd packs that were $13 before all this mess but acceptable.

Clerk said the pallet full had been put out a week ago and it was still over half left so the craze has settled down some.

This week Palmetto Armory has them for $39.95 / 500 count. Shipping was $8.50, but I didnt have to pay tax so it wasn't too bad if you need the ammo.

After years of draught - refused to pay scalper prices - I finally found three bricks of Winchester white box at a local Walmart, $.05/ round. Helped that it was a Friday morning and I was on vacation. Time to get my kids' Marlin out of storage.

Winchester is selling 1,000 round boxes of .22? I had no idea.

I bought two 555 round bulk packs of Winchester white box last Thursday that I passed on to a friend at cost. My friend won't invest the limited effort needed to find it on their own but they do other favors for me so I source ammo for them. Would have been nice to find a 1,000 round "brick". I could have bought three of the bulk packs but I decided to not be greedy since I see this stuff on the shelves around here all the time, 325 round bulk packs, 333 round bulk packs, 525s, 555s, saw some CCI 300 round boxes endorsed by Troy what's his name about two weeks ago but no "bricks" in a very long time. Winchester M-22 Tactical which is packaged as two 500 round bulk packs in one larger box shows up about once every two or three months and is as close as I've come to finding "bricks" in a long time.

I need to start checking more often i guess, 1 or 2 times per week. After work.

I check my local Farm/fleet store everytime through. I have found some .22lr a few months back and bought the amount allowed.

Last Thursday there was a guy begging a clerk to go get some out of the back. He explained he had bought a Ruger 10/22 at same store a year ago and needed some ammunition. I am not sure if his approach worked.

Glad to hear things are getting better for .22lr. I was with a group of new and young shooters and had them using the Ruger 10/22 and Buckmark. They made quite a dent in my stock. I myself cut way back on .22lr and switched to calibers i can handload.

During road trips to Columbus, Ohio I generally get lucky on the way down or the way back home to Cleveland at the Columbus, Ohio Cabela's but this time nothing. They had plenty of the match target stuff with Norma Match being on the low price end at about $82 a 500 round brick, they had some Remington Target next up at around $120 for 500 Rounds (The Eley Manufacture Stuff) and they also had some pretty high end German made match target stuff. Hit them Friday and Sunday but nothing average out. I did get a few 1,000 packages of Seller and Bellot primers in SR and LR. This is the first time in quite a few visits they didn't have average priced everyday 22 LR. :(

My bad, it was 555 round box not the 1000 round brick. Still me happy ;)
