and get a Glock 19? Just came back from the range where I rented a G19 and I loved it! It was much easier to shoot then I thought it would be and I was a better shot with it to boot. The only other double action only pistol I've shot before is my old Sigma 380. The Glock didnt even really feel like it was double action. After taking up the slack in the trigger it breaks almost like a single action trigger. I was very surprised. Something about the USP that has bothered me is the tendency for it to not lock back on the last shot. Now I know this is me, I'm riding the slide release lever. The thing is in the pistol class I took they taught us how to shoot with both thumbs forward and that slide release is so long on the USP that I find it difficult to keep my thumb off it. With the G19 that wasnt an issue. I really really dont want to like the G19 better either ahhhhh! The dark side is calling my name I fear.

Be cautious that instructors or range officers are just giving you their advice, so it's not Gospel. I always shoot thumb over thumb and it works best for me compared to the thumbs forward.

Also...besides affordability, the Glock mags are cheaper compared to other mag brands. I'm working my way on 20+ mags by the end of the year.

Welcome aboard!

Partially cocked striker fired pistol is what I would call it, or pre-cocked striker fired. Agreed though, I really like the trigger on my Glock 27!

Right.why sell anything? Just buy a G19 and wonder about the G26.........and there's such great deals on rehab .40 G22's, then check out a G30 for .45acp and become a powerful person.

But maybe you ought to look at an M&P by S&W, or even a Walther P99 so you can dress in speedo clothes or wetsuits when it's cold.

One gun must be so boring....

Shoot one of those before you buy that G19 and you'll REALLY be in a quandary.

You know if I get the G19 I probably will get the G26 as a backup. Then I'll have to get the keltec sub-2000 and some 33 round mags too :)

Actually its not that I dont want to like the G19. Before I settled on the USPc I did tons and tons or research. I suppose I was hoping I wouldnt shoot the G19 as well so I could feel like I made the right decision. I told myself I would test fire a USPc and G19 before deciding but no, I went to the store and they didnt have a G19 but they did have a USPc so I got it. I couldnt not buy something that day lol.

The subcompact Glocks are scary fun shooters. Be careful is what he means, you just might find yourself shooting best with the two fingered, short barreled 26. I have a 27 and shoot it very well for my skill level.

G19 might just be the best all around pistol on earth.

Mine goes in the shower with me so no matter when they come, I'll be ready.

I have a USP LEM for "duty " work. I don't really care for it much. Yes it has never failed but I don't find it very accurate. I do much better with the XD or glock. That being said the HK is solid FIREARM.

G19 fits perfectly between my seat and the center console. It rides with the butt up, barely noticable and easily available.
