Like the title says:
I've got a choice between an XD and a P250.

I've shot the P250 and thought it felt pretty good, the trigger is kind of weird, but my accuracy didn't seem all that great with it. I found myself taking more time to reacquire the target than I had with a friend's Glock. I don't know if it was muzzle flip, recoil or what.

I have no experience with the XD, but I have handled it and like the way the grip feels better than the P250.

I can basically get either for the same price. Both have a bonus that the other doesn't offer. The XD comes with the stock holster, and the P250 comes with night sights.

Can anyone offer a suggestion?

I haven't handled the P250 besides a quick fondle at the local shop. I do have two XDs, a Service and a Sub Compact. XDs fit my hand like a glove. They have both been 100% reliable. If the XD fits, get it.

Get whichever one fits your hand better. Which frame and grip was on the P250 when you were shooting it?

I like my P250. To me the only negatives are the long trigger pull and it cost.... I got mine for an excellent price used and do not plan on selling it.

The XDs are fine but long term the Sig is a better gun IMHO.

I'm usually a big fan of Sigs, but I think Sig missed the mark with the P250. That DAO thing really isn't very intuitive for quick and accurate shooting as much as their classic DA/SA is. I know they get a lot of DAK pistol sales to various agencies, but the officers don't pick that, the upper brass does to limit liability. If you want a compact Sig, go with a P229, P239, or P232.

I disagree... many people shoot DOA very well firing quickly and accurately.... like this

IMO, the holster that comes w/ the XD should not be a determining factor, especially when you can get an Uncle Mikes for $10 that is better. Night sites, OTOH, will cost close to $100 to add to any gun. Just my .02

The holster with the XD is nothing to write home about... range work at best IMHO....

The real cost issue with the P250 is 1 mag and then $30 for additional ones....

I got mine with 6 mags and the small frame for almost what it cost NIB

the Sig comes with 2 mags as well, does this sweeten the deal anymore?

Also, if I go the Sig route, does anyone know where to get the grip modules? I think a larger grip would fix what problems I've had with the p250.

Go to the range and shoot an XD.

I really liked it, it has great pointability and is accurate. And it's cheaper then the Sig.

Top Gun supply has them I believe...

In the end my advice is never to buy a gun that does not fit your hand perfectly...

If the pistol does not fit you move on to the next one. In the long run you will be better off.
