I have been known to slip a Gerber Guardian in my boot from time to time. I wore that same knife on the suspenders of my LBE when I was in the Army many, many years ago.
Not that I know of in Texas, you cant go to an alcoholic beverage store with any weapon but then again Im not frequenting those places alot if at all.Nope here too. I believe that where I lived (CA) when I wore boots and went to bars that it was a felony to have a concealed blade like that.
This one is very comfortable, it sits behind the ankle bone. And as you can see from the pics its a fairly large size for a boot knife.I haven't worn a boot knife in decades, but when I did it was a cheap Gerber and it fit badly in my boot. Rubbed my ankle raw.
Ive always heard of that, how do you carry it in your boot? Leave it in a pocket holster and put it in there? No, I did a one time carry a 357 in my boot , but since I retired I seldom wear boots any

Its actually a very useful method of carrying concealed, I carry a folder to for cutting jobs, this one has actually come in handy to in certain situations, never against a human buts its taken a hog and a dog, both of which I ended up on my back but thats a story for later.Yeah, I did. When I was 15. I think I read too much Gung Ho and Soldier of Fortune.

I'm sure it probably is. My reasons for it way back then were just ... lame. Its actually a very useful method of carrying concealed, I carry a folder to for cutting jobs, this one has actually come in handy to in certain situations, never against a human buts its taken a hog and a dog, both of which I ended up on my back but thats a story for later.
thats where I carry the knifeI used a right handed IWB clip holster - clipped inside the right side of the left boot.
Was it with Western/Cowboy boots? Is it a secure grip? I'm getting ideas now...I used a right handed IWB clip holster - clipped inside the right side of the left boot.
I'm not going to say "trained" but I have practiced drawing it from this position and its not as slow as people think, BUT its of course not as fast as a folder from the pocket. The main reason its carried is because I work in a "professional" setting, and knives are frowned upon, I do not have a small stockman type knife yet but I will be purchasing one for this purpose as that type of knife doesnt scare as easily.i have the same problem with boot knives as i do ankle holsters, I dont care to take my pants off to get at the item in question. What with bell bottoms being out of style and all
