Sometimes the advice on these threads amazes me. Like everyones a lawyer which these days is laughable since just about everyone is or could be.
Jeepers, anyone can get their hands on some lawbooks and even put them to use. Im not saying lawyers are not more knowledgeable on the stuff but if you have been through a few years of college you're halfway there,.
Now why am I posting this?
Someone here mentioned not posting "Beware of Dog" signs because "They'll get you in court" or whatever.
No, if fact in many locales if you do not post the sign and a bad guy comes on your property and gets bit by the dog, "YOU" are gonna get sued by the bad guy and lose.
In my area, I have to note on my fance that it is indeed electrified.
However, "No Tresspassing" signs on 4 conspicous corners of the fence is considered posting and a tresspasser, well.... you get the idea.
A neighbor of mine has "I dont call 911, I am 911" painted in large letters on the side of his barn, clearly visible from both directions when driving down the road.
I wonder how many times anyone has screwed with him. Oh yeah, no one screws with that guy but he repairs our vehicles out of that garage.
I dont have a sign that says anything about guns or whatever. But, I might be of the opinion that just vecause you have the sign doesnt mean you're gonna get robbed of your guns. First, it may be considered kinda like OC'ing and simply deter the crook.
Second, if he gets in and can carry an 800 lb safe out the door before the dogs get to him, heck he's my hero and should be given the guns as a prize.
Third, unless he's been watching you everyday for a while, he probably doesnt know your patterns. If he has been watching, he knows there are some huge dogs to get through as well as the electric fence.
He's probably not gonna take a chance that someone is home with the .38...
Just my.02 Merry Christmas and carry on!
We now take you back to our regularly scheduled THR lawyer special. LOL
