You can only own ONE 9mm handgun.

I have 4 nine's right now, and have had others. I've kept the ones I like and shoot well. Out of my favorites, [KT P11 (for CCW), Glock 19, Beretta 92FS, and Sig P229] which one I'd keep would have to be the SIG. I like all the rest a lot. I LOVE the Sig.

So my answer, from what I own, is a Sig P229.

I like my CZ75 SA (a lot), but would go with my XDm...I've beat it up pretty good and it just keeps going...also hard to argue with 19+1 capacity

My only 9mm now is a S&W 5906, but would love to have a 6906. Expecting the 6906 I do add to my gun collection will be my favorite 9mm, as it will be a much easier ccw. Plus I can use my 15 round 5906 mags in it. :D

Sig P226. I've had a "gun crush" on the Blackwater tactical model for some time now so if I can have only one that might be it but a 226 for sure.

Well, if I could only have one 9mm, I would have the Glock 19.

Mostly because of round capacity, and durability in all environments.

Something really small.

I have no other particular use for a 9mm, if I can have only one.

14 rounds in my .45 will suffice if I can use a big gun.

I only have one Auto in 9mm and it is a Glock 19, I do have a 9mm cylinder that fits in either my S&W 642 or my S&W 60. I would probably keep the 60-4 with the 9mm cylinder.

Ruger p95dc in black with laser, got one and love it.I find it to be more tool then art,and it goes bang really loud:evil:

My choice would be my trusty Smith and Wesson 5906. ive actually tried to get this to misfire, doublefeed, and stove pipe and it wont. it eats anything i throw into it including lead bullet reloads i had. its accurate, doubletaps like a dream and has hefty weight to it for easier followup shots. plus its all stainless steel so you wont have to worry much about rust. so my choice for a 9mm would be the Smith and Wesson 5906

I do love a BHP and it is my only 9mm. But in the scenario you describe, I would get an aluminum-framed 1911 in commander size built to chamber both 38 super and 9x23.

this

it's the only one i have, and so it would be it, even if i had a thousand different nines.
my cz 75B

it is the best nine out there.
period.

I asked myself the same question. I wanted one 9mm pistol that I could use for defense, carry, target shooting, etc.... My rationale being that the more uses I had for it the more familiar I would become with my chosen weapon. I ended up choosing the M&P 9c. It is very compact but not SO small that you can't get a good grip on it. Still very easy to conceal well under just a t-shirt. Its reliable, I've fired thousands of rounds through mine with only ONE malfunction a few years ago. The mags carry 12 rounds and you can use the 17 rounds mags for backup. Its very accurate and very easy to shoot accurately. My second favorite 9mm is my P7 but I don't think its design is as conducive to this discussion. As a shooter its first rate. My other choice for a do all, end all 9mm would probably be the Glock 19. Its a bit more compact than the 17 for carry yet will still hang with the 17 in other aspects.

Cz, all day, everday. a million copiers can't be wrong such as TZ, tangfolio, witness, eaa, smith/wesson,Arcus,ruger sr9(partially),imi, magnum research, jericho, armalite, norinco nz 75, Jsl's, sarsimaz, sphinx, springfield p9,and many others...
Jeff Cooper called it, " the best double action designed pistol available ..." endquote. He was pretty
knowledgeable.

Nr. 1 would be the S&W M&P9 for reliability, quality, and comfort.

Contenders would include the HK P30 (very close 2nd), SIG P226, Beretta 92FS, Walther P99, CZ75 P-01 ... pretty much in that order. I own them all.
