I've held out long enough and have finally succumbed to peer pressure. A CZ82 from AIM will be arriving by the end of the week. Ordered 500 rounds of Brown Bear FMJ from Cheaper Than Dirt too.

I'm already trying to figure out what things to add to the gun (grips, springs, sights, holsters) and I don't even have possession of the thing yet!

WTH is the matter with me? Good gravy I'm weak. I need some serious help.

I was thinking about doing the same thing, but with the hopes of doing some competitions I've opted for something else. Might revisit this one once the gun fund fills back up.

Some bad news for you. The vast majority of CZ-82 owners can't think of anything to add to the gun. The trigger is sweet. The grips are pretty comfortable. It's very accurate. We shoot them the way we buy them. Guess you'll have to use the extra money on ammo. "HINT" Brown Bear is OK, but for $1-$2 more a box, you should get the Silver Bear. It is better. It doesn't have lacquer on the cases, it's Nickle plated instead. Better feeding, keeps the pistol cleaner, etc... Other than that, there's little to nothing you can do to the gun to make it better. It's great the way it is. And NOW, Buffalo-Bore ammo has 115 grain flat cast bullets which make for a very good defensive round. Should check it out. I have a Sig P220 45acp, Walther, Dan Wesson, Springfield 1911A1, and quite a few other guns. My CZ-82 is my favorite CARRY gun. I conceal carry it more than 70% of the time. Congrats.

the only things i got for mine 2 extra mags, the hogue slip on grips,& silverbear hp's.

I don't know about limited options. I recently took my spare CZ82 apart to freshen it up a bit. I am considering getting another to do in OD and black.

about all you need is a holster. i have found that holsters that fit a bersa thunder 380 fit the cz-82.

I took the pistol completely apart, sandblasted (walnut shells), used a metal etching primer, black semi gloss, and cast aluminum epoxy engine paints. I have had great success on my firearms with these finishes. These paints are tough as nails, oil and heat resistant and available in a vary wide range of colors. I need to clean up the grips or replace them, have not decided yet.
If you are into Dura coat and don't feel comfortable taking your pistols apart, there is a guy (no affiliation) on gunbroker that does a fantastic job. I really like the OD green and black look on these pistols.

6x6pinz- very nice job, looks good.

I do enjoy taking some of my guns down totthe bare nuts and bolts but haven't yet gotten the backbone to refinish them in anything other than a cold blue job, some of which came out very nice.

Someday I'll try the Duracoat or engine enamal finish.
