Your choice for pocket pistols?

I would just get a tuckable holster for the SR9c or .38.

A little bit of blousing of your shirt at the waistline and guns usually conceal better tucked for me. Especially since when you are actually doing the work you have a blazer on (if I'm reading it correctly).

The most pocketable 9mm I’ve ever found is a Kahr PM9 or cm9. It’s about 14-15oz, gives you 6-7 rounds and is a real pistol to boot. Other 9mms might fit in a pocket but do a crappy job. You really have to go down to a .380 to get a pocket gun.

Another thing to possibly consider since you’re wearing a suit jacket is a shoulder rig. I’ve honestly never worn one but they seem like a nice option for that style of dress since they give you a chance to carry a larger gun.

I think you already said you picked the P32, but I thought I’d throw in my 2c anyway.

I would go with a Ruger LCP II or a Diamondback DB9 in a wallet-style holster. I've carried an original LCP that way until I replaced it with the Diamondback. Nobody ever seems to notice you have two wallets in your hip pockets! ;)

Ruger LCP in a DeSantis Nemesis holster. I had and liked the Kel-Tec P32, but the size differential between it and the LCP is so small that the LCP got the nod.

Except those trained to look for which pocket someone's wallet is in, and if the there are two 'wallets'.

I agree that even the smallest Micro9 does not make a good pocket gun. Especially in summer, with shorts and a tee shirt, I want as light and concealed as possible.

Here is my Nano fully loaded. And if wearing jeans, I can carry in a Watch Pocket if I choose. Generally do not carry in a pocket. I can carry this or my LCR9mm or Nano the same way. All great CCW guns.

A Kahr CW380 with the 7-round extended magazine has room for all three fingers yet disappears in a front pocket.

If you plan on front pocket carry, wear pants with a vertical opening on the side rather than jeans. If back pocket, make sure the pocket is deep enough that the gun isn't visible to someone standing close behind you.

Some pics of the Rohrbaugh R9 :)

LCP, Bersa Thunder, AMT .45 Back-Up (yes, really. MINE, is a GREAT pistol), S&W 340SC, SIG 230SL.

For small and powerful, the Rohrbaugh wins hands down, although cost-wise, the Kahrs are a good deal with a nice smooth trigger pull

Some people badmouth my Diamondback 9 but then I don't shoot it with a limp wrist so I like it. It goes in the back pocket of my jeans and doesn't show.

The tiny pocket pistols can be snappy and not necessarily the most pleasant to shoot but they won't beat you up like a snubby.
Have to disagree with you on this one. I shoot the Pico and the Kahr and both very mild to shoot in 380 and the fact that this guns are PlusP rated, I have no problem with shooting high pressure ammo. For 9mm semi, I use to shoot the LC9s for years. Then found the Beretta Nano and never looked back. Super mild, extremely little muzzle flip. Took both guns to the range and ran side by side. 100 rounds through one gun, 100 rounds through the second and then Repeat. Then 25 rounds of Plus P through both guns.
There was much more than just a subjective felt recoil. There was a significant amount of reduction. At the end, my hand had pain shooting the LC9s, the Nano, I could have continued all day long. Both guns shot reliably. And the Nano is one of the smallest in class. In both OAL, weight, height and ironically a little longer barrel. Not to mention it is built like a frigging tank. Designed to handle the pressures of the 40.cal and shows. A much underrated gun. Here is a pic of the build difference. And for sure the Nano is all stainless steel build throughout the gun. And to think the OAL of the Nano is only 5.63" say's a lot. A really underappreciated firearm. And only weights around 17 oz with a very solid, firm grip and balance.. And if you are going to Pocket gun this weapon, they of course a good choice.

One of the most fun times I have on the range is the Ruger LCR9mm. I have trained on a regular basis with this gun. First just lucky to hit the target to now hitting very close groups of shots to center mass in rapid fire at 10 yds. Yes, more recoil, but recoil that I actually find enjoyable. I normally shoot 200 rounds through this gun with no problems. Carry;s Apex very well and even pocket in you desire.

I don't know, I regularly carry my Ruger LC9s in a DeSantis Superfly pocket holster while wearing shorts and a tee shirt. Admittedly, I'm a big guy and I purposely pick shorts with deep pockets, but I have no problem. The Ruger is probably the largest gun I would employ for pocket carry, but for me it works fine.

i'm 5' 7" and weigh most of 300 lbs so can't help you but I do carry a .380 Ruger and it conceals well in a pocket holster.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who things the .45 Backup is a good firearm. I figured out that most folks who panned them only fired it a few times and since it wasn't comfortable just stuck it in a drawer. The complaints of reliability come mostly from not breaking in the pistols.

I am not comfortable carrying a pistol with potential energy stored in the firing mechanism. Hence, for me, DA/SA revolvers or DA/SA semi-autos are the order of the day where it requires a trigger pull to "cock" the hammer to fire the gun.

For pocket carry, I'd use a S&W J frame or maybe something like a Kel Tec P-32 or a P3AT.

There may be other guns that fit my specifications, but I have not investigated them yet so do not take my choices to be the "be all to end all".

I'm open to alternate options, but I'll tell you up front that Glocks ain't it.

FYI, my "fuller sized" carry gun used to be a Walther PPK. I recently upgraded to an H&K P30SK.
