What's your pocket pistol history?

I have pants that are not particularly easy to draw my LCP out of the pocket. I cannot imagine putting my glock in there.

Unless your 'The Marlboro Man' or similar...

I can't see it being an issue.

I specified tapered fit Jeans to show they are fitting;)

Is not an issue, takes practice.

(I had a NAA, then a P32, then a J Frame... graduated on up)

I'm a novice but very happy with my S&W M&P 340CT that I pocket carry daily in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster loaded with God Dot 357 Magnum Short Barrel. Should do the job I think and I rarely notice I have it on me.

Often think about an LCP though. May have to try one. Especially if I could still find a Coyote Special!

In the pocket, I started using an LCP but it bit the crap out of my trigger finger when I practiced.

Went to a Smith Snubbie 38 special.

Now a Smith 640-1 357 magnum.

I carried a taurus 38 for around 20 years and now a KT pf-9 as a front pocket pistol and a charter arms 38 ultra lite depends on where. Mainly the pf-9

It would be interesting to see pictures of some of these suggested guns, as carried in a normal pair of jeans while standing, but especially while sitting. I'm dubious of the concealment factor

LCP, none of the previous posters issues. Works like a charm. Hope I'll never need it .380 (9mm short) isn't what I'd call a powerhouse but I wouln't want to get shot with one either.

340pd in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster. First pocket gun, been carrying it for about 8 years now. On duty it's backup; off duty it's usually my only gun.

It's the bottom end of what I can accept in power for a carry gun (using a good 38 +p round), combined with a weight and profile that make it undetectable and comfortable and stone cold reliability. I've, at some time, wished about all my handguns that SOMETHING was at least a LITTLE bit different--but of all of them, this is probably the one I'm MOST content with. It does its job very well.

Started off with Seecamp .32, then Keltec P32. Now it is mostly Keltec P3AT or NAA .22 mag if pocket carrying.

I have an NAA Guardian in 32 that I use when I pocket carry with an Uncle Mikes pocket holster.

Also, I have a American Derringer, Model 1, in 45LC/.410 that I keep loaded with birdshot when I am in the woods. Makes a great snake charmer.

I am more prone to carry a Walther PPK/S or Colt Detective Special. For me, they are just as easy to conceal with a high ride holster and a shirt over the gun outside the pants.

Taurus Mod85 (never again)
Walther TPH 22cal
Beretta Bob Cat 22cal
S&W Mod60 (great gun) I still have it.
Currently-Glock Mod26 (9mm) Amazing gun.

I started with a Colt Mustang then moved to a AMT Backup SA in .380 to save on wear on the Mustang. The AMT was not reliable enough for carry so I moved on to a S&W 637. The wife then proclamed the S&W to be hers so I picked up a NAA mini in .22LR. The NAA is great but not the gun I wanted to bet my life on, so I picked up a S&W model 60.

For the last year or more my carry style has been as follows. Any time I'm in my work uniform the Mustang is in my pocket (I'm gonna pick up a Sig238 so I can finally retire the Mustang to range duty). When I'm in street clothes one of the S&W snubbies are IWB carried. As for the NAA, it's allways in a pocket, no matter what I'm wearing or carrying.

Nomad, the tight jeans I wear are not called fag jeans they are called Wranglers and drawing a revo can be a little slow from them. Thats why pocket carry for me is with an auto.

People disbelieve me when I state that the glock CAN be CCW'd in Tappered fit Carhartt Jeans,(NOT gangbanger pants!) OR slacks in a pocket holster.

They can.

Try it.
I did try it, with a Glock 27 in an Uncle Mike's (admittedly not the best example, but it was in stock at the LGS) pocket holster. It resembled a 1000-page paperback book in my pocket and left little room to get my fingers around the grip, something I feel is important for a practical pocket gun.

What I said...;)

That I buy.:D

The Lone Haranguer:
Unless your like The Marlboro Man above... I'm not seeing what the problem is. :D

You haveto make clothing (for you Wrangler wearers) concessions to be adequately armed.

Up to you where your priorities lie.

I began with a S&W M36. The hammer kept hanging on things so I went to a Mauser HSC. They don't make those any more. I currently carry a P64. I wish I could get a laser for it.

I have carried a Glock in my pocket, but larger guns in the pocket are just not as comfortable. I normally carry the Glock in an inside waist band holster or a fanny pack.

usp9 Anyone that knows to look for a pistol will know i carry in my front pocket. I never carred about that. I know the pistol it self is coverd an thats my only worry. But i have never had anyone ask, sooo. I do wear losser fitting paints or bibd alot and i am no light wieght. I have a IWB holster just hate it while driveing in either honda, pickup is ok. Bibs don't allow for many options either.

S&W Mod 60 38SPL in a Don Hume Pocket holster. (Too heavy)
Kel-Tec P11 in a DeSantis Nemesis. (A little big, a little blocky)
340PD with Crimson trace grips in a Mika Roundcut. (Pocket carry heaven)

Let's be honest....

The LCP or a j-frame would be the limit of pocket carry in normal jeans front pocket.

I had a PM9....it did fit the front pocket...but left no room for my hands to effectively draw the gun. And...it was printing pretty bad. And no...I don't wear those tight girly jeans.

While my favorite carry is the Glock 26/27....... it's not practical for front pocket carry.
It's down right impossible. Yup...I said impossible. Please post pics to prove me wrong.
