If you could have one military rifle and one pistol from any army from any time what would they be? I would have to pick... a Mauser K98 and the Colt M1908 .380 pistols that Generals got, just for some variety.

Got the rifle and a .32 Generals Issue pistol. I'd be tickeled to get the .380. As to rifle? Real M14, preferably a Winchester.

These are more difficult to find as General Officers had the option of purchasing their pistol for the acquisition cost by the Army. Something like $25-30. i would guess most purchased them. These (and also the 32 version) were issued to some nurses in WWII.

I only limited exposure firing them but that was enough to make me like the BAR.

A mint, NIB M1D...same goes for standard M1. A true, authentic NIB Dragunov. A Mosin M38 and a standard 19/30, and a PE variant of the Mosin sniper (already have a PU and M44). Some sort of 1903.....aww hell.....ill take em all

I like ec-10's thinking, but keeping my answer kinda technical I'd pick the U.S. 1803 Harpers Ferry Rifle and I'm not so picky about pistols so a WWII issue M1911A1 or an M1917 Revolver would be hunky dory with me.
