US Rifle, Cal. .30, Model of M1903, Mark I plus US Automatic Pistol, Caliber .30, Model of 1918. AKA Springfield '03 with Pederson device.

FP-45 Liberator and while we're at it, a Vietnam era "Deer Gun", 9mm single-shot pistol along the same lines but much more "space-age" in appearance.

And other more common pieces too numerous to name.

From the Allied Guys:
all the 1903 Springfield variants
SMLE variants
Bren
BAR
Thompson & "Grease Gun"
Soviet PPSh sub-gun
Liberator

Axis Guys:

Early Japanese Arisaka's
Carcano
all of the K98 variants

Current holy grail milsurp

A pre WWII 1903 Springfield in nice condition. They're out there, I passed one up at a recent Montgomery gunshow because my cash stash was $200 short of his price. It wasn't too bad a price on it - just more that I had that day.

If you could have one military rifle and one pistol from any army from any time what would they be? I would have to pick... a Mauser K98 and the Colt M1908 .380 pistols that Generals got, just for some variety.

Got the rifle and a .32 Generals Issue pistol. :D I'd be tickeled to get the .380. As to rifle? Real M14, preferably a Winchester.

If we expanded beyond rifle and pistol it would be a Atchisson Assault Shotgun from the Vietnam era - http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/sh29-e.htm

FG 42.....45 "Box Cannon" Shansei Mauser pistol....Schnelfeuer variant of BroomieVasily Zaitsev's 91-30...the list (and the beat ) goes on.

That SCUD missle on mobile launcher I climbed all over would have been a nice "take home" souvenir.

one of the original 2000 odd LeMat revolvers issued in the Confederacy during the civil war, that and an original mp 44. Maybe not technically milsurp, they are, or were, military weapons anyways.

These are more difficult to find as General Officers had the option of purchasing their pistol for the acquisition cost by the Army. Something like $25-30. i would guess most purchased them. These (and also the 32 version) were issued to some nurses in WWII.

I only limited exposure firing them but that was enough to make me like the BAR.

A mint, NIB M1D...same goes for standard M1. A true, authentic NIB Dragunov. A Mosin M38 and a standard 19/30, and a PE variant of the Mosin sniper (already have a PU and M44). Some sort of 1903.....aww hell.....ill take em all :D

I like ec-10's thinking, but keeping my answer kinda technical I'd pick the U.S. 1803 Harpers Ferry Rifle and I'm not so picky about pistols so a WWII issue M1911A1 or an M1917 Revolver would be hunky dory with me.
