Your favorite .380

I confess to being a tried-and-true Walther guy. So, either a German-made PPK/S from Ulm, or a French-made PPK/S from the Manurhin plant, or a USA-made PPK/S from the Interarms/Ranger operation. I would not recommend the current model in production from Springfield and Houlten.

Bersa Thunder! This thing shoots, nice looking too.

My wife(it's hers) totes it while she walks and when we go out.

She shoots it better than me too....

Look at the Corbon DPX 80 grain for SD loads.

Beretta cheetah ! i can outshoot my usp with it at 15 yards, real mean looking little pistol, like a chopped 92....

13 different 380 pistols and my favorite is the one I am shooting at that moment. Currently have a strong liking for the PK380 but my PPK/S and Sig 230 will most likely be my top choices for some time.

Seecamp LWS .380, not much fun to shoot but certainly conceals easily.
Seecamp only recommends two rounds, Federal and Winchester but I have run others w/o issues.

I have been real happy with my BERSA BT also. over 700 flawless rounds through it. I would shoot it more if .380 were more plentiful.

Curious to see the new S&W Bodyguard with integral laser.

I have a couple .380 Makarovs and a CZ83 .380. Excellent guns.

In the pocket guns I have the Kel Tec P3AT and Micro Desert Eagle. Also good guns.

Last Saturday I bought a SIG P238 and have been shooting it every day. I'm very impressed. It now has replaced the P3AT and MDE for pocket carry.

My favorite is my Ruger LCP. It is not the most comfortable gun to shoot because it is so small and light. However, mine has functioned flawlessly and is superbly accurate for its size. It fits in my smallest jean pockets.

I'd love to get a kahr p380 because it has great sights, but just don't feel like giving up $550 for a second .380.

My CZ83 is 23 yrs old and will outshoot the Sig .380's all day long and some Beretta Cheetahs :) It also can be carried cocked and locked too! I had it up for sale , the deal didnt go though and I am glad now . I would have missed it so much ! All steel and built like a tank.

Remington 51 above all others...

then....

Browning 1910
Walther PP

then....

Beretta 34
Mauser HSc
Sauer 38H
Colt 03/08

and only then some of the more modern stuff....

as listed by others.

Favorite has to be my Mustang .380 in stainless. It's not my daily carry, but I won't hesitate to grab it when I need something smaller than my M&P40c. With the cost of ammo for this little guy, it doesn't get the range time it deserves.

Hands down, my favorite .380 will always be the Remington Model 51.

I have a thing for .380's and am still holding out for a "US Property" marked Colt .380.

My current .380's:

Remington Model 51
FN/Browning 1910/55
FN/Browning 1922 Dutch contract
Browning BDA
Kahr P380
Husqvarna 1907 (originally 9mm Browning Long, converted to .380)

In the past I've owned:
Star Super SM (wish I had this one back!)
NAA Guardian
and a few more I only had for as long as it took to get rid of.

I like my Thunder. I had a PPK/S years ago, and liked it then, but it holds one fewer round than the thunder and lacks a slide lock. It was easier to conceal, and harder to shoot as well (the Thunder's grip fills my hand more.)
Cons of the Thunder are: heavy DA trigger pull, though this can be a safety asset, stiff mag release button, and mag disconnect safety (again, this can be a safety asset.)
I've also become recently re-infatuated with my Grendel P-10, a piece I bought back in 1989 or 1990. Unique piece for its time, holding ten rounds in an internal magazine, and not much larger than most .25 autos of that era. It took some work to make it reliable. It's the grandfather to the current Kel-Tec P3AT.

Well lets see I like 380 so I have several
Bersa
Interarms PPK/S
KelTec
2 Colt Mustangs
and a couple cheap FIE 's

Cons of the Thunder are: heavy DA trigger pull,

Please the Bersa thunder is 1/2 the pull of a PPK/S I have both and even after the PPK/S had trigger work and lighter hammer spring It still way more than the Thunder .
For 1/2 the price of a PPK/S you get better trigger just as accurate and the look.

Mustang Pocketlite!

Any 1911 gunner would naturally go for the Mustang, hands down. The same cocked and locked controls, and that irrefutable single action trigger group, tuned to match your main-gun 1911. What a great pair of venerable firearms.

For me, it's a nickel Mustang tucked into a nice black leather wallet holster. Feels sooo good; sooo right.

BTW, GrandmasterB, are those Novac sights on that little dandy?

I own, but one .380. I was going to get an LCP, but when my buddy brought his last hunting season for a visit and I compared it to my old Grendel P12, the Grendel is the same dimensions, just a scad thicker and 12 ounces, but the trade off is 12 rounds capacity. So, I decided I didn't need no stinkin' LCP.

A couple of days ago I stumbled on this Polish Radom P64 for $199 at Gander Mountain and bought it. It came with a spare mag. Mags hold 6 rounds of 9x18 Makarov, glorified .380 in reality. It's the size of a PPK. It's heavyish, being an all steel gun, but by gawd it's accurate! I am really liking this little thing. It's as big as my 9mm Kel Tec P11 and heavier, but thinner. Odd thing is, felt recoil is worse. :D BUT, I still like the gun a lot. Probably wouldn't be as enamored with it, but for the incredible accuracy and light SA trigger (which the DA makes up for). Anyway, I'll take it over a LCP and at less price! However, no, it's not nearly as light or quite as small. It's still quite easy to carry, though, and shoots a lot better for ME.
