Your most enjoyable gun

After thinking about the question for a bit I have come to the conclusion that I cannot pick just one.
My guns are like my children, I can't pick one of them over another either,,,,

I will echo the previous comment about the Marlin 1894c, pure fun!

Close behind is my SIG P228, which seems to have been made specifically for me, it points and shoots so naturally.

I would have to say my Ruger 5.5" SS Single-Six. The ideal accessory is my G/F's 12-year old son. It really doesn't get much better than that on a summer afternoon.

My favorite and most fun is my S & W model 41 .22 target pistol.

Several years ago, while shooting in the desert with some of my buddies, 3 strangers pulled up in a pick-up truck and asked if they could share the range with us (it's a remote spot, not a formal range). Against my wishes, my buddies told them that it was okay.

One of the strangers had a 'scoped .270 bolt rifle, and after he had fired it at all of the targets that the strangers had set up, he started shooting at MY stell plate "gong" target that I had set up on the hillside! I was angry as heck, for that "gong" target wasn't for center-fire rifle rounds, only .22's and handguns!

The .270 shooter even had one of his friends "spotting" for him, with binoculars. One of my buddies calmed me down, and said that it was "no big thing", even if the .270 shooter put holes through MY "gong" target! (Can anyone say "range etiquette"?)

Well, the .270 shooter went through a 20-round box of ammo and didn't hit that "gong" target even ONCE! When I saw him going back to his truck, however, I figured that he was going to get another box of rounds. That's when I went over and picked up my faithful S & W model 41 pistol.

At a "paced" 100 yards, my trusty model 41 made 10 very distinctive "dink" sounds as it was hit. I reloaded with a fresh magazine and made 10 more "dink" sounds on MY "gong" target. As I was about to reloade with another magazine, I heard the .270 shooter's "spotter" yell out, "Hey, what's wrong with your rifle? That guy is hitting that steel plate with a .22 pistol!"

I fired another 10-rounds, with 10 more "dink" sounds, then had to reload the magazines. While doing so, I noticed that the .270 shooter was placing his rifle in a zippered bag, and his friends were starting to pack everything into their truck. Just a few minutes later, they drove off.

One of my buddies and I went out to inspect my "gong" target. NO holes through it....just 30 splotches of lead on the freshly-painted steel plate!

After that incident, just about every time we went out shooting, one of my buddies would bring up the story about the day that I out-shot a scoped .270 bolt-action hunting rifle with my model 41!

Yeah, I think that I'll keep it! Besides, it only cost me $100.....used! Not bad for a .22 pistol that has never malfunctioned and is accurate as heck!

For plinking, it's my Marlin 782 22WMR with walnut stock. For hunting, it's my 7.62x39 AR build.

My favorite right now is my custom S&W 65 with TT, TH, and a 4" pencil barrel with the cylinder cut for moonclips.
I had it and my pair of Marlins, 1894c and 39M, out to the range yesterday. I was shooting my 1894C offhand at 50 yds and nailing my target while a guy with a beretta storm and a reflex sight was shooting at 25 yards and using a sandbag to keep them on target.:D

Winchester Model 42 - .410 pump :)

Never ceases to make me grin. Compared to my 12ga clays guns, it feels almost like a toy, but breaks targets just fine.

I can tell you my top 3:
1- My H&R 622, 2 1/2" goes almost everywhere I want to go and shoot, the range, family land, fishing and even around the house. Loaded with Colibries it is a pest eliminator.

2- Ruger Standard Model 6" barrel (NOT Mark I, they have adjustable sights), it is a tack diver and I bought it for a song, because of its "holster worn" appearance and the last owner's addition of genuwine fake stagg horn grips(has character). It is usually in my range kit.

3- Yugo SKS 59-66, heavy, but that makes it shoot like an oversized .22. Very accurate for the range it is intended. (reminds me I have to get more ammo for it);)

I am fortunate to have bunches of firearms of all types and only live 5 mi or so from my gun club with a couple great outdoor ranges and a 24hr indooor range.
More times than not (since I caught the bug a couple years back) any range trip includes one or more of my ARs. I have uppers from a shorty fixed sight to a 24" varmit with 20 power scope. I also have an olympic 9mm and make heavy use of my Ceiner rimfire conversion. The Ceiner is the best toy ever! I have lowers with different triggers and all sorts of sights ,scopes, and a holosight.
This past week my club had its first military rifle shoot in about ten years and it was a blast! I shoot some rimfire plate matches with the ceiner. The AR does just about everything.I may have to build up an AR pistol just for the giggle factor.

I will also have to pick the Red Ryder BB gun. My 13 y/o son really dosen't care to much for shooting but with that bb gun we have a lot of fun in the backyard so that makes it the most enjoyable one I OWN.

Rifle: Marlin 1895 Guide Gun in 45/70 You diffently know when you hit anything.

Handgun: Ruger Blackhawk 45 Long Colt Here again you diffently know when you hit anything.

my SW99 - my most accurate gun I own (the S&W clone of the Walther P99). Whenever I have it, I always shoot my best :)

Gotta be the M-1 Carbine...but the Yugo SKS comes close

For just plain fun, ...ten, fifteen or even thirty rounds of pure semi-auto goodness sent down range as fast as you want to pull the trigger. The M-1 if you prefer classic American iron (Mine's a November 1944 IBM) with clean lines, the SKS with bayonet and grenade launcher if you want something to scare the hoplophobes and gun-fearing wussies.

Pistol- My old, worn, MKII .Picked up at GS for A song.

Rifle- Call me crazy, but I truely love to shoot my Yugo 48. Just something about the sound of a 8mm Mauser.

There is an admonition in Scripture to "cleave to the wife of your youth."

I have done that (I will celebrate my 28th anniversary next week), but I find that this admonition also has another application.

The first firearm I ever shot was a Winchester 1906. It is now "queen" of my gun safe, and still the most fun that you can have with your clothes on. Load that tube up with Aguila Colibris, and bounce soda cans all over the range with the loudest sounds being the click of the hammer and the clink as the can is hit. She also handles shorts, longs, and long rifles without a hiccup. This "old gal" has a dinged up stock and a brown patina (no blueing), but it is still functional, and "pretty is as pretty does".

hmmm..... this truely is a hard one

handgun- springfield 1911 lightweight fullsize

carbine- beretta CX4 Storm in .40

Shotgun- remington 11-87 12gauge

rifle- toss up between my M16A2 (soon to be A4) and my M1 Garand

MG- again a toss up between the M2 .50cal and the MK19  :D its good to be a grunt/mp.

I would have to with a Ruger 10/22, or a S&W .357 k frame, shooting .38 specials from it.
