I have plans for my next HG, and the method of obtaining it, which I do not wish to share now.

BTW I do plan to buy it.

My current plans and gun type wishes could (and frequently do) change.

Would you like to share your next gun wants and wishes with us or not?

Thanks:)

Yes.

A Colt's Rail gun. The black cerakote one with wood grips.

I plan to save up till next month, then I'll buy it from Gunbroker for the cheapest of prices.

HK Mk 23, just because. No, I'm not that big a Metal Gear fan.

I plan to obtain it by exchanging American currency units for it, probably through Gunbroker at the end of January.

Unless something shiny distracts me.

Guns I would like if one comes along would be a S&W Model 25 (45 Colt) and I also would like a Browning Hi Power if one were to come along. While that looks good on paper things don't always go that way or as planned. Last week I was in my local gun store and saw a Colt Series 70 Government MK IV chambered in 38 Super. I have a weakness for the Colt Series 70 guns so when the price was right I snagged the 38 Super and am now loading 38 Super. If I see a minty Series 70 9mm I'll grab it too. So guns like the Model 25 and Hi Power seem to move out. Maybe either for Christmas? :)

Hell, in all honesty if it weren't the Colt 38 Super it could just as easily been something else.

Whatever strikes my fancy the next time I'm in a gun store. Or the time after that. These days I'm strictly an impulse buyer. I see, I want, I buy.

Now some folks have suggested that old guys like me should be shedding firearms not buying them. But I respond that as long as I'm living I might as well enjoy the money I've earned. The kids can sell stuff off, if they want, after I'm dead.

I want an LCR in 9mm, but I also want an LCR in .327 Federal Magnum, and I also want the 4.2" Ruger SP101 in .327 Federal Magnum, but I also want to get the new Remington RM380.

In the words of Judge Smails

You'll get Nothing and like it !

I actually put the last pistol I want on lay away.

I snagged a Ruger P-89, which covers me on 9mm from single stack subcompact (Taurus 709), double stack subcompact (Kel-Tec P-11), double stack compact (S&W 469) and finally full size double stack. All 9mm.

Eventually I'll get a bug to buy another, but for the next hand gun I may branch out to a different caliber.

Like Jeepnik above, I've also been more of an impulse buyer as of late. The last two handguns I bought were indeed ones I had been wanting (Makarov 9x18 pistol, and Bauer .25), and I do have another in mind. I'd like a Commander-sized stainless 1911 pistol with an ambidextrous safety lever. I saw a nice Springfield one this past summer in a pawn shop, but didn't want to part right then with what he wanted for it (I bought the Bauer he had instead!)

I’ll second that.

More specifically, a S&W model 66 or 66-1 with a 2.5” barrel.
How? By buying it for what would be considered a lowball price of a 4 incher.

Oh, wait, you said plan not dream.

I've kinda had a Colt Commander in 9 MM in mind. Also, I hear so much good about CZ on this forum that I am also thinking about one of those.

Nothing specific as of right now. Getting to be more of an impulse buyer (like I find a nice S&W revolver in the used gun case), than a long term planner. Will porbably pay cash for it.

Been thinking about a 2 inch S&W Model 64 round butt (just because) or a 3 or 4 inch Model 686 (for when I have to turn in my duty revolver).

The last handgun acquired a S&W MP9c. I don't for see future purchases but rather consolidation.

I'll walk into "Ali-Babba's House O Guns" and see something I want, we'll dicker a bit, and I'll finally say "Put this in the back with my name of it." and give them a down payment. When I pay the layaway off, I'll bring it home.

Same as I did for the one I bought yesterday.

Colt Commander in stainless
or
Colt SAA 4.75" blued
after Christmas
both usually at my LGS

also on my list:
S&W 629 Classic DX
S&W Model 41 .22LR semiauto
S&W Model 1917 Heritage
in the next year or two
probably have to find these on Gunbroker, etc.

Good question!!!

There's a couple I've got my eye on:

Glock 20 10mm. But if I can ever get the hang of my G29, that would either put it on the back burner, or just make me want it more.

Ruger RedHawk. I've wanted a 44magnum for as long as I knew what it was. When I was a kid, I had a t shirt with a picture of Dirty Harry saying "I said, curb your dog" and my dad was fond of the "do I feel lucky" speech. I think the Smith and Wesson model 29 is a great gun, but the Ruger is more affordable, and I'm a fan of Ruger in general.

Ruger Gp100. I've had a hankering for a 357 lately, and as I said, I like Ruger.

As far as paying for them goes, I'll figure that out when the time comes

Oh man, excellent question.
I love my G20, so maybe a G29 or G40 (paid for using a GSSF discount and cash)
I'd also like a 1911 in 9mm
Or maybe a wheel gun of some kind in .357 or .44 (model 686, 329PD, or 629)
Realistically, my next will be a Glock of some kind, so the coupon doesn't go to waste

I want a new one. Not sure what though. Must be 45acp, 10+1 capacity or more.
To get it, maybe sell some stuff I have that I don't really shoot anymore.

For me 2016 is mainly the year of the .223. A couple of AR builds, magazines and ammunition as I think these items will be under attack by Obama next summer/fall and definitely if Hillary wins the White House.

While I have a never ending list of handguns I want a 1851 Navy 36 caliber C&B (probably Pietta) is my most likely planned next handgun purchase.

However whenever I get the cash in my wallet I walk in and some other gun whispers my name and, well, ....

I have the desire for a Coonan - cash because I dont need it if I cant buy it outright.
