Your Next Handgun - Which One, and How You Plan to Get It ?

My main goal would be a Glock 40 MOS. I have been wanting a Glock 10mm for many moons and then they came out with this thing and I just want one. I plan on paying real money for one someday but may have to sell something to get there.

One thing that may slow down this purchase is my recent desire for a Ruger SR9E. And I could buy two of those for the price of the Glock!

Bought a Steyr L9-A1 couple years ago. Fits me like a glove, it's like the adjoining jigsaw puzzle piece to my hand. Being a lefty it was of prime consideration that it had swappable mag release. Really Really wish they would bring the latest gen updates that it has to the S9-A1 but so far that mag release is one sided. I really do not know why they (Steyr) are so clueless. Email requests to the US office about this go unanswered.

That said the December issue of American Rifleman had a pretty good article on optics ready handguns. I'm unlikely to ever let the Steyr out of sight for an extended period of time to get it milled for some sort of reflex sight. So the wheels are turning. Someone at work recently put down their Glock for an FNH FNX .45 in FDE. We stopped off at gravel pit one day when we were done and I got to shoot it. The trigger was sweet and as a Steyr owner that is saying something. So I'm wondering about 9mm FNH models.

I put money in a sock drawer and will only buy something I can hold and know it feels right

I lost whatever respect I had for Glock when they didn't make their G40 a .22 caliber gun.;)
Honestly, I thought I was the only one twisted enough to desire that as well! If I owned Glock I guarantee I would have done that, thaw confusion would be endless! It almost already is when you go in and ask about a Glock 40, they don't know if you are referring to model or caliber.

Probably a CZ of sorts.
Either a CZ 97 B which is a larger steel frame 45 or another polymer frame 9mm, either a CZ P07 or P09...
Maybe i'll just save up extra an buy both a P07 and 97 B at the same time [emoji6]
And a ruger gp100 with a 4" barrel for the wife, she prefers revolvers

Id like the p07.....if i can find w out being double the price of other states.......or a wheaton arms glock 19"carolina carry" pckg ...they have a cal carry but i dont like slide cuts...will probably have to wait till after Christmas......need a few months to recoop finances:)!!

Dream of Next Purchase?

S&W 617.

S&W .22 revolver

M&P .22

Any .22 S&W revolver-an oldie or a goodie!

67 year old newbie guy...

anyone may dream if they wish....

Some of my best friends are dreamers...:)

I bought a SIG P320. Been a Glock guy for many years, own several of them! Shoot the GSSF matches. Local seller, slightly used Carry model, to good a deal to pass up. It is about to become my EDC. Love the trigger.

I cleaned out the safe, and an LGS friend of mine has agreed to sell them for me on consignment. It should net me enough to land me an FNX45 plus a lil extra to pay off some Christmas bills.

I'm pretty stoked:)

I have over 3 dozen handguns, so I probably shouldn't be buying any more <sigh> ... but ...

... the next one will, almost certainly, be a Glock 41 ... but#2 ...

... I own no pistols in .45 Colt and the cartridge has begun to intrigue me ... ;)

The G41 I will acquire with a GSSF Coupon and the type-not-specified .45Colt I will eventually, barring serendipity, find on GunBroker.

I got mine today......or rather got it back today.
I loaned my granddaughter an older model S&W Chief Special, which she didn't feel comfortable with.

I have 3 S&W J frames. All different. All special (& all .38 Special).:)

P.S.- I'm still planing on trying to wiggle in a Star Super B after Christmas.

I'm picking my "next" handgun up today,,,

I'm picking my "next" handgun up today,,,
It's really nothing to write home to Mom about,,,
Just a little 4" Rossi R-98 Plinker revolver in .22 LR.

I'm a sucker for pairs of matching revolvers,,,
One in a centerfire cartridge and the other in .22 LR.

So my "next" handgun will probably be,,,
A Rossi R-85 in .38 Special.

Except for the front sight they match very nicely.

I'll just save up for it from my monthly allowance,,,
I'm single with a decent income so it shouldn't take too long.

Kinda got tired waiting for a nickel plated M57, ended up buying a Beretta M92 FS Brigadier INOX, looks and shoots nice. :)

With the collector's market of WWI and WWII .45 acp guns being such a tough place to find decent priced original guns, and my age increasing it seems so ever rapidly, I sold nine of my collectibles to an out of town buyer I have known for years. He came with cash and bought all nine that were laid out on the dining table. I kept some of my favorite ones for my estate. With the purchase of six handguns since selling a part of my collection I can't think of anything I can't live without. Oh, what's that one over there?

I haven't made up my mind yet, but it will likely be in 45ACP, and either a compact semi-auto, or possibly even a 45ACP Pitbull if I find one to examine..

Perhaps a Smith and Wesson 25 in 45LC. Yes, I would like one. I'd like one very much.
How do I plan to get it? Hunt one down and buy it of course, but when I set out to do that, something else always shows up first.
