7.62 was obsolete against post 70's personal body armour. This drove the change to 5.56 and 5.45.

I ran into a couple of guys at the range with EBRs and they were shooting Fred's AQT. It was fun and interesting. After learning to shoot at MCRD San Diego and using those techniques for the next 5 yrs, I felt those skills would be with me forever. Boy was I wrong!

I go to Skyline. They have a 100/200yd range and a short range. I haven't been to Swan Creek in over a year. I usually go on Saturdays if I'm around or if I'm not at soccer games.

Commercial .308 will fire in a CETME, but the chances are higher that when the brass is extracted it will rip the head off leaving the rest of the casing in the chamber. This will not happen on every round of commercial fired, but that chance is increased.
