Springfield is a name only. Most of their stuff is foreign made. You could get him a Browning Pro-9, the "Browning" version of the FN FNP, but Browning is owned by FN Herstal now. You could wait a bit and get the Beretta PX4 Compact that is coming out. It should be made in Maryland, though...
This depends on what you mean by effective range. Do you care about the power of the range as it progresses in flight over time or the ability to score a hit, due to it being reasonably accurate?
Beretta Neos. They look like space guns, strip like magic and group very well. Get the INOX as the black finish is nothing to write home about. SOME day, Beretta is going to get the carbine kit out for it.
Beretta Neos (spring for the INOX). They are EASY to disassemble and reassemble. When you have done it a few times, you can take it apart and put it back together in under a minute or so.
If it is stamped Kurtz, I will buy short .357 reloads that came from .38 boxes (as long as someone doesn't slip in a 9.2 on me). Aw hell... I think I shall just buy a 12 guage.
Don't. They are NOTHING alike. The .380/9mm Kurz is NOT a thing like the .38 special or .357 magnum. They are...
FN Herstal is the company also known as Browning (OK, they own Browning). While others should be able to tell you more about the gun, the company itself is PRETTY big. I would have to assume they stand behind their products.
A broken "pelvis" is usually actually a break in the large cap of the femur. That is about a 2" target and not in the same place exactly on every person, especially in a highly mobile region. A bullet to the "pelvis proper" will punch a hole or crack that area. It will hurt a LOT as many...
I have had mine for about 2yrs. The finish in black .....sucks. so keep it oiled well. It likes to run a bit on the wet/lubed side. The function is great. The only ammo of many I have tried it does not like is Federal American Eagle. Cheap other cheap stuff runs well. My wife was pinging...
Then it can't be carried cocked and locked. The glock safety is not a manual safety, so you can't lock it. Also, the glock safety is more of a preventative from firing in case the gun were to be dropped, struck, etc. Pulling the trigger makes it go bang. There is no "single action" mode in a...
Here are some basics:
Trigger types
SAO = Single Action Only. This is not quite like the single action wheel guns, in that you don't have to cock the hammer on every shot. You only have to rack the slide or cock the hammer on a loaded chamber. The trigger pull is usually fairly light, in...
You can always contact the manufacturer. I believe that my CZ was sighted for 124gr. It seems slightly more accurate with 124s than the standard 115s I feed it, but at the 7-10yd distances I shoot, its not a big enough reason for me to play around with it. I can deal with 1 inch off here or...
