Do you really believe that?
Of course not.
I'm very serious about not carrying a gun that has known issues though

I guess I would have to know what he means. I do have pistols that if you are wishy-washy about sling ahotting are iffy about fully returning to battery. I sling shot them with authority and never have an issue but hand it to someone else.
They both said their guns have issues feeding JHPs. Nonstarter.
I've actually had to use my gun in self-defense and that changed my perspective on everything. The gun is 100% functional or I don't carry it.
I wouldn't carry that gun unless that problem was 100% solved.
I did solve it... I have an FMJ on top of the magazine. New recoil springs also eliminate the problem, but I have 5 different Kahr 9mm's and I lose track of which ones I've swapped recoil springs in.
No, you rigged it
I wouldn't carry a gun I have to dick around with to get it to work.
YMMV
I just watched a few videos on these. Very interesting.
BAD starting premise!, the following suggestion is made:
When I carry a defensive/offensive handgun, I consider that should I be required to shoot another human, if I don't kill him on the first couple shots,
Do you really believe that? I can make.a G19-2 or G19-3 FTE on almost every cycle. Glocks are great pistols but they are not invincible.

The Kahrs specifically state in their operating instructions to drop the slide with the slide release... don't slingshot it. I've tried both, both work for me... but I train with the slide stop because that is what I'm more likely to do under stress. Of course, I train with less expensive FMJ ammo... or even my handloads, neither of which are loaded in my carry pistol initially. Having a FMJ on top of my reload magazine seems like a reasonable solution, for me, anyway. I'm working my way through some different SD ammos to see if it's an issue with the ammos or the pistol; I've also got a new recoil spring in one of my CW9's to compare it to a spring with a few hundred rounds on it.... just to see if there is something to that... but in my experience, a locked and loaded Kahr is 100%
