I guess im in the minority, as I found a linear comp ineffective. You know what works really well though? foam ear plugs with muffs over them.
I have two of these and don't think they are overly loud. I have A2's on both of them more to protect the crown than anything. Having said that, if you add a linear comp please post an update. I do use these as truck guns so anything to help with the noise is welcome. I also live in a non-silencer state. I only use Golden Tiger out of mine and it shoots great! PLEASE Ruger PLEASE if you are reading this thread come out with a version with iron sights!!!!

Do they make one?
Yes. I am. I also don't own a Kalashnikov. NY says I can't have one.The barrel length is 16”, the same as a Kalashnikov pattern rifle.
The noise should be no worse. I hazard to ask if you are wearing ear protection?
What can I do for you?Found my Kaw Valley linear comp. It's yours if you want it.
.308/7.62 bore (measures closer to 8.5mm), 5/8"x24tpi

I have this rifle, and it is not that much louder than a 7.62x39 with a 18" barrel. The issue could be with the ammo maybe?I have the American Ranch in 7.62x39. Beside the normal complaints of no iron sights or about the plastic stock, blah blah bah, my only gripe is that it's ridiculously loud.
Seems to me a XS Rail with integrated peep and fixing a front sight post is an easy remedy for the small minority nowadays that desire both sighting systems.
Do they make these in a bolt on fashion? I’d love to get one for my sksFound my Kaw Valley linear comp. It's yours if you want it.

Hey I could ask them!I don’t believe so. You could check their website or give them a quick email. Maybe they would have some that haven’t been threaded yet that they could look into it for you.

Usually just one drilled & tapped hole, maybe two.How does one go about "fixing a front sight post" and how much does that cost?
