Here's an odd one that was at least somewhat common for a while. I bought one NiB in the late 80's, but I think they are older than that.
Tanfoglio used to make them. It's a 380acp about the size of a PP, but single-action and IIRC based on the WWII-era Beretta Model 34.
They were imported by more than one company, FIE and EAA being the two I'm familiar with. They had various model names/numbers. I'm pretty sure I've seen a 32acp version, too.
I had that one as a young adult, and eventually traded it towards a Taurus (Model 85) 38 revolver because my first wife needed something at the house that was small and she knew how it worked.
A couple of years back I saw one at the LGS, talked the price down to $200, and bought it for nostalgia.
When I took it to the range, I found out after the first shot that one of the pins holding the barrel in place had broken loose from the area that acted as its socket.
After much procrastination I ordered and installed a replacement barrel. It turns out the barrels were made in at least two basic shapes. I needed the other one.
After much more procrastination I ordered and installed a proper replacement barrel. The only barrel I could find was blued instead of... chrome or whatever the original was. The pistol seems to function properly. I'll give it a try next time I go to the range.
I recall it as being easy to shoot. It's steel and fits my hand fairly well. It's blowback, but I recall the recoil as being mild. The sights aren't bad, about typical for this type of pistol.
If/when I have it functioning properly, it wouldn't be my first choice for SD, but would do in a pinch.
