Actually, the Diablo has had at least one thread of it's own, and mention in several others. I believe they are in the BP sub-forum, because they are a BP gun.

Two Russian geologist buddies on traverse in the Arctic, Chukotka Oblast. They are bound by law to carry a rifle when they are working in bear habitiat.

Their high tech choice? A Soviet SKS with ball ammo...................

You also see them carry Moisin-Nagants.



I told them they were crazy to depend on 7.62x39 ball but they said 10 rounds of it worked for them. They asked me what we carried on traverse in Canada in the arctic and I told them this:



Probably loaded with Buffalo Bore 380gr WFN monos at 2020 fps or good old 430gr hard cast at 1880 fps.

Granpa's Stevens Little Scout circa '32. Some dummy kid (me) had it re-blued and I did the stock. hehe Hey it was a rust bucket.

I used to tidy up around this little thing - and a French 75, an M-60 tank, a Huey on a stick, an A-7E Corsair mounted similarly and some other old military hardware.

I don’t think Academy carries ammo for the last two.
