Thats why I said I am having such a hard time walking in the woods. That was just a fall on a smooth parking lot. And its also why I took early retirement from my insurance adjusters job. I looked at houses for wind and hail damage. If you are prone to stumbling the roof is not a safe place to be.

Roger that. I’m a late bloomer. Always late for everything . I’m more vigilant now. I’m even old!! Geez…what was I thinking… oh well… better late than never I hope. thank you

Sorry to hear about and see your injuries. Take the time to heal and don't get back to everything too early or you will have a setback. The second time around for those type of injuries is way worse.

Were you able to shoot that revolver yesterday? I hope.
No I didn't get to. I went up a BLM arroyo where I was going to and came upon a couple in a dodge pickup that shouldn't have gone there so soon after a rain. I diverted and pulled them out with my jeep and by that time I didn't think I had time before the water from more rain would get there. I vamoosed.

Among the "items" left to me to sell for my late friends family are a couple of BP rifles. Both are Great Plains .50's. I will keep the Flint one as he wanted me to have it but the Percussion one will go. I looked at several sites and they are sold out due to current issues. What might be a good price for a factory one that looks unused? All the bloody pics remind me that when you finally checkout that both family and medical bills can be your survivors.

Let go of a ROA awhile back now to replace it prices are insane. I'm picking up a
Remi NMA but those in stainless are outrageous. With taxes and shipping the
NMA 1858 in stainless 5 1/2 inch is running $575+

Yipes!!! For those interested, Midway has 3 of these left as of the posting of this message Sunday 8:35 AM EST. Friday there were 20. o_O
Uberti 1860 Army Black Powder Revolver 44 Caliber 8" Barrel Steel Frame Brass Trigger Guard Blue $349.00 https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1970158854?pid=523261

I have two of them I'd let go. A 8" and 12" barrel both blued - the 8" has that laser engraving. 300 for either one. Both have been fired only six shots. I can be texted at 8107245582

Oh, temptation....got to wait until two paydays and old bills are killed, but temptation is VERY strong, especially the 8 incher.

I bought one of the laser engraved ones in a Cabela's Fathers Day special about 5 years ago. It came with a second engraved cylinder and I think I only paid about $200 for it. It still shoots fine with both cylinders.
They had such a stampede for them that they had a huge backlog of orders and in the end many people never got them at that sale price.

Now THAT would have been sweet - did a quick search online and the only 1858s I find are Traditions brassers...don't want brassers...
Don't know if you are a fan of the antique finish but about 3 months ago I bought an 1858 Taylor&Sons/Uberti antique finish. It is absolutely beautiful. I like it!
