I bought several 10 round mags because of this. Works much better off of the bench.I can’t fall in love with a bolt rifle and hi cap mags. I’ve got an AR that’s incredibly accurate, but the length of the mags makes bench shooting cumbersome compared to a slick bottom version IMO.
Only a Kanak at heart would call a Loco-Moco a snack......Moco-loco or bust.
That's a possibility.....With the revisions to the magazine policy......How bout a howa mini?
I can't say that comes as a surprise. I've got two of the rimfires and I keep looking at more of them.A word of warning, Ruger Americans breed like flies. I now have three rimfires and three centerfires, still watching out for the Ranch in 6.5Grendel.
Burnt bronze in forest camo laminate.............I ended up with both rimfire and centerfire versions of the GoWild. I really dig on the burnt bronze cerakote.

@Spats McGee have you gotten any closer to a decision?
Nope. This purchase is still a ways off, but I'm a bona fide member of Overthinkers Anonymous, so I always start my research early. On the upside, I'm almost a complete stranger to Buyer's Remorse.@Spats McGee have you gotten any closer to a decision?

If you're not going to go full-blown custom on your parts then I suggest starting with the Savage model 10. Plenty of tinkery stuff available for those guy, They are cheap to get into, and generally everybody has the tools to do the work on them at home..... Minus a barrel nut wrench, and possibly a way to hold the action or barrel..... If installing a custom barrel is part of the plans, anyway. If not dont need thoseNope. ETA: As I've refined this idea, I've decided that I want to more-or-less build this rifle. I could save my pennies and then go buy something above my capabilities, but I don't think I want to. I think I'd rather hunt down a beater, then go about the business of spiffing it up.
