Been researching after market mag for my 23. Considering ETS mags. Great reviews. Anyone had experiences with ETS, good or bad??? Thanks!!
Nothing wrong with the Glock mags, but the KCI, Kahn, and Magpuls are about half the price or less, and work just as well. Why not just get a Glock Mag? it’s one of the best part of a Glock
The Glock 33 rounder is flawless! love that thangNothing wrong with the Glock mags, but the KCI, Kahn, and Magpuls are about half the price or less, and work just as well.
Ive been using the same bunch of about 20 KCI mags in practice on a weekly basis for over 10 years now. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend them. The exception being their 33 rounders. Had problems with those, and they arent as reliable as the 15 and 17 rounders. To be fair, I haven't had great luck with factory Glock 33 rounders either. Best luck there has been with the 27 round Magpuls.
Mine have never been flawless. I have a number of them and normally dont get through any of them without some sort of stoppage. And that's regardless of what model or gen the gun is.The Glock 33 rounder is flawless! love that thang

The KCI 33 rounders were pretty rough inside with a lot of "flash", and worked better once that was cleaned up, but were still more problematical than the factory 33 rounders. I even tried swapping the followers and springs out with factory, and still had problems.
I haven't had any issues with the standard capacity mags, of any make though, and the KCI mags are the deal there.
The Magpul 27 rounders have been 100%, and that's what I normally carry as my reload. I trust them over the factory 33 rounders.
I use that Italian brand alot, Metgar! good stuffI prefer to stick with OEM when possible. I've never used a magpul mag in a glock, but I know in my M&P, they didnt sit flush and it irritated tf out of me. That being said, I've used many magpul mags in my rifles without issue.
I have used ETS mags before as practice mags. Though as easy as glock mags are to get, I would stick with a glock mag if it was me.

they shouldMec-Gar does not make Glock magazines.
Back to ETS magazines. The only ones I have tried were their G43 mags. And those are great if you want to do a bunch of malfunction drills.
alright…. you guys are going to hate me. But, when I think of after market mags. I think of Eagle Clear mags for Ruger 10/22. Yeah I’m from the 90’sI think I have 15 or 16 OEM Glock 17 magazines, some of them from the early generations. Even with the older ones all I’ve done is drop in Wolff extra power magazine springs to make them good as new. They have all worked with no issues.
I know many shooters have had great luck with aftermarket magazines. Over the years I have had such hit and miss luck when buying non OEM mags I just don’t want to spend the $$ and risk disappointment anymore.
Whichever maker you choose, I hope your magazine choice works out .
Stay safe.
Talked with a guy at SHOT Show some years back who worked at Glock for awhile. He said that Gaston was well aware of the issue and was not willing to change the mag design. I have thought about it and I think that overall I'm willing to take the capacity hit in exchange for the other benefits that the cladding provides. The only thing wrong with Glock mags is their poly cladding; it really restricts their potential capacity, and it is an issue that Gaston may, or may not, choose to address.
