I might be interested for that reason alone. Plus, it can be handloaded using magnum pistol powders of which I already have a good supply. Looks like it could be a fun, pleasant round.

The more aerodynamic rifle rounds will retain velocity longer than .357 pistol bullets, but the muzzle velocities for bullets of the same weights for both the .300 BLK and .357 carbine are strikingly similar.

Interesting. Thanks for bringing this up. Hope the 300 BLK takes off it's the only AR type of rifle I would be interested in.

Until then, I will stick with my .44mag carbine (Marlin 1894) Though I wouldn't be apposed to some sort of 7.62x39 rifle. Just haven't found something I really like.

I used to have a .357 mag carbine and I loved it. Then, things got a bit financially tough for a while and like most of my guns I had to sell it.

Now that I'm starting to recover a bit and possibly soon to start rebuilding my arsenal, I'm noticing that the pistol cal leverguns are rare and substantially more expensive than when I bought my 1894.

I'd like something to refill it's niche and since I'm starting over from scratch, I'm willing to give something new a try.

The 527 is a beautiful looking rifle, but I'm just not really a bolt action guy for some reason. May have been because of a bad early experience with one.

You know there are multiple designs, makes, and models of rifle right? Not all bolt actions are the same, just like all self-loaders aren't the same.

.300 BLK took off decades ago when it was only known as the .300 Whisper.

Understood, and I've tried many different makes and models. I still just don't enjoy shooting them as much as other types of rifle.
