I DO consider most Rugers overpriced when it comes to quality for the money spent
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I think that the guys that own Blasers do so for the same reasons some people own BMWs. Status. I mean really, you could get an amazing gun custom built for $5000.
The worst pile of ad rhetoric I've seen in a while. Funnier still, the last line reads:Is there something I'm missing here guys? SW fans; tell me why someone would buy that for $1,700.
I gotsta get myself one of them Liberace guns...That ain't ridiculous.
This is ridiculous!!

Simple economics. Supply and demand. There are not enough M1s and Carbines to supply the people who want them, therefore, the price is high.I think it is absurd what we, as Americans, are forced to pay for American surplus rifles.
and neither is there price.Yep, and compared to the quality of the two makers mentioned, it isn't even close
I can get a Marlin 60 for a lot less than a 10/22
and on and on
You are right about the 10/22 but I think top to bottom Ruger's has the best price to quality ratio of any gun company. They produce many, many different guns and most are better quality than their price counter parts. ESPICALLY in handgunsThe thread is about ridiculous prices, and , IMO, Ruger has some guns that are absurdly priced for the (lack of) quality inherent - the 10/22 is a perfect example
I have had several Rugers that were neither "tough" nor "dependable" and their prices weren't that great either
I can get a Marlin 60 for a lot less than a 10/22
and on and on
Too many here think because a gun costs more than YOU want to spend then it MUST be overpriced - but then there are a lot of folks who also do not understand why a Ferrari costs what it does or a Jackson Pollock painting, etc.
And some will learn why, and some will never see it, and others already know
but then there are a lot of folks who also do not understand why a Ferrari costs what it does or a Jackson Pollock painting, etc.
The most overpriced "gun" possible is a registered drop-in auto sear. By weight the most expensive chunk of metal there is.
Don't you know how exotic ncstar scopes are? I'd say that rifle is priceless. Here is another from good old east Tennessee. Makes me proud to call this area home.
