The faces of THR

Arkansas Paul, Are you packing one of those pink pistols that have become popular so as to be completely color coordinated? I actually have one of the pink pistols that obtained at a very fair price and have actually had non-gun folk see it and assume it is a toy instead of real. Due to the number of times it has happened, I carry it at times just for that reason. How can anything as cute as it is actually be dangerous...

As a buddy once said, wearing a pink shirt to school, "You gotta be secure as a man to wear pink!" He retires from the local PD this year.
Updated photo from Gun Appreciation Day...got fat, and the face shows it. :(

The picture is from 2006 so just add a couple more pounds and a few more gray hairs!

I'm at 12:00 in the yellow, orange and black (no helmet). I'm on a jump after training the jumper to my right to jump an old school Para Commander for his 1000th jump:

When i look at these pictures of everyday people, all i can think of is; so these are the people they want to disarm,& take their gun rights away.I thought the same thing at the range the other day, seeing the people there just like this.what a shame that its come to this.....

Note also how many are active, or prior active service. I don't see to many in the gun grabber crowd who have a DD214 in their filing cabinet. They only want servicemen to be armed when they're off nation building on some misguided global do gooder mission, and don't feel "safe" around these same guys when they come home.

Here's a few,

That's trying my dad's coyote rifle, he was so full of it, the zero was perfectly fine.

At the Dinosaur Tracks south of my hometown of Hurricane Utah, near the AZ border. The boys thought it was lame.

On the rooftop of my 'office' at JSS Loyalty, Sadr City, 2010. The building survived three JDAM hits we were working in the undamaged corner, I took the moment to Happy Gilmore a few balls into the Iraqi Police motor pool. (I'm totally lying, I can't hit a golf ball.)

Showing the boys how the M-61 Vulcan cannon works on the F-14 on display on the flight deck of the USS Midway a year ago.

I'm the one on the left off doing "nation building", Summer of 1993, Mogadishu, Somalia.

Ok, one more,

You know how in the national guard, you have to go on duty for two weeks out of the year? Well, when you're an MI linguist, sometimes your two weeks in in Paris, in civilian clothes, with per diem, in a class for three hours a day with a bunch of 19 year old girls from around the world, with a three-day weekend out to Normandy to visit things like Mont St. Michel and the monuments at Utah and Omaha beaches.

Enjoy it. You paid for it. :neener:

OK. What's a nearly 60 year old riding one of these for? Fun! While it lasted. Had to give it up...health. 42 years of riding some 26 odd motorcycles can't be all bad, no?

Here's my lovely wife and I last summer on Kauai. and one of me kayaking Brush Creek in Southern California.

is that R1 a 2001 ? I rode the exact same year if it is. The faster blue model, however.

I'll see if i can muster a decent non-fat pic...

In all likelihood, many of us DID enjoy it...some of those 19 year old girls are probably the end result of those who went before you...
