1. The training is a great idea
2. I would reccomend at least 3 magazines
3. A good quality holster designed for that gun
4. Eye and Ear protection are a must
5. Buy the self defence ammo you intend to use in the gun and fire at least 100 rounds to make sure the gun/ammo combination work...
At the Crossroads Gunshow this last weekend I bought a Bulgarian Mak from J&G Sales of Prescott AZ for $140.00 including tax and today I finally got it to the range. I fired 250 rounds through with no failures of any sort and am extrelely pleased with this new gun. I looked up the serial number...
I think we all remember when the Protection of Lawful Commerce Act was kiled in the Senate when Swinetien, Chuckie Scummer and their likes filled the bill with unacceptable amendments. Why nor attach some great riders to Di Fi's AWB bill. I am thinking repeal the 86 ban on new machine guns...
I have the 4 inch XD in .40 and the 3 inch Sub-Compact in 9mm. Each has it's strengths. I'm left handed and carry in an Uncle Mikes IWB holster and both guns are pretty easy to conceal. The shorter grip of the Sub-Compact makes it a little easier but it's not really that hard with either. When...
I don't know if this wil help or not but they are sessing an AR-15 look alike in Cali that is chambered for .22LR. You get the look and feel of the AR but since it is rimfire it isn't covered by Cali AWB. Check Shotgun news if this interests you.
Just wanted to drop a line to any Phoeinx area members to let you know about a class offered through Glendale Community College. This is known as Handguns II. The CCW class is a Pre-Req. The course description is advertises longer distance shooting, use of cover among other things. It is a 16...
I was just curious what other ranges out there have as far as a target selection. Of the two ranges I frequent Ben Avery is an out doors range that is run by the State Game and Fish Department and sell bullseye and targets with small animals but no silouettes. Shooter's World is an indoor range...
I am just wondering since the .45 GAP can be loaded in to guns that have the same frame size as 9 mm Luger and .40 S&W does anyone think that Kahr would chamber any of their existing guns for this cartridge and if they did would you buy it.
I have an xd 9 subcompact and a standard xd 40 so I really don't see a need for a xd in .45 GAP. This round is expensive to buy and hard to find so I'll wait and see when a .45 ACP comes out I will probably buy it.
I would also recomend getting some training, the training that is called for to get your Florida CCW is a good place to start and you kill two birds with one stone since you get the training and the class to qualify for your CCW. I would also recommend some kind of inexpensive lock box just so...
