I just wonder if revolvers can compete in today's market with all the automatics out there. There seems to be fewer and fewer of us old dogs that still hold on to them
Will it have a "snake" name?Very, very, very definitely NO PYTHON!
A new DA revolver?
Wait & watch.

Even if Colt decided to get back into the revolver market what you would see would be a new design (and made of new materials), which would bear little resemblance to the Snake series of guns of years past. They would be Pythons, King Cobras, Boas, Diamondbacks, and Anacondas in name only.
I know but not seeing anyone buying revolvers either. Maybe I'm out of touch, but all my friends have chosen autos over revolvers for the pas several years.
man i dunno how you have the restraint to do that ;-)I have a "King Cobra" unfired. Every time I open the safe I'm tempted to go shoot it.
With respect, I think you are in fact a bit out of touch. Revolvers are still in high enough demand that S&W produces and sells a lot them, Ruger is constantly coming out with a new model or rerelease of an old gun, Dan Wesson just rereleased the 715, and Kimber has just entered the market.I know but not seeing anyone buying revolvers either. Yes we doWe do this every year...
I have several unfired Colts. The skyrocketing prices have been enough to keep me from shooting them....Fortunately for every unfired one, I have a fired one just like it to keep me happy. However, I have often said if a shooter lays down on me, I will break out an unfired one and go to shooting.I have a "King Cobra" unfired. Every time I open the safe I'm tempted to go shoot it.
