RedDot or Bullseye or TiteGroup

Of those powders mentioned, Bullseye and then Red Dot.
Historically, amongst Bullseye shooters who only care about accuracy (and mild recoil), it would be Bullseye, hands down.
Given the range of powders, I would choose 231/HP38, AA2, Red Dot, Bullseye, Solo 1000 in that order, at least in my guns.

I burn 4.5 of bullseye or red dot under a 200 grain LSWC. Honestly can't tell the difference between the two and I get very good accuracy.

Promo is the same as Red Dot just a different package. Load data is interchangeable .

It functions the same, but meters differently. Don't forget to check PM settings so you get the same weight! Promo flakes are bigger.

No, they are not the same powder.

Older Promo looked like Red Dot with larger round flakes (see comparison picture below) but newer Promo is all larger round flakes.

Red Dot load data can be used for Promo but by weight only, not by volume - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=10240428#post10240428

I haven't used Bullseye, but between the others, I prefer Promo [emoji3]

Personally I like 231. Of the 3 listed I have only previously used Bullseye. It metered well and didnt gunk up my auto disk. Had to buy a pound of Blue Dot yesterday because that's all could be had at my local GS. I hope to have some luck with the Blue Dot as last time I bought the only powder available I had to get WST. Hated that stuff. Sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread. I don't think you can go wrong with Bullseye

Titegroup is what I use under 230gr FMJs and HiTek coated. Big bullet + fast powder = low recoil

This has been my experience also. I use Bullseye for .45, Titegroup for all my 9mm and W231 for .380, although I have use all three powders in all three calibers.

So far I've only used titegroup for shooting both plated and fmj .45 acp 230 gn and it does just find for practice but I can't get it to/over 800 fps following hodgdons website. I'm getting ready to try some power pistol to see if I can get up to 850. The fastest average I have gotten out of titegroup with the max listing of 4.8 gns out of my xd 5inch is 745 fps using rmrs fmjs at an oal of 1.25. normally load it at 4.6 gns and gun functions fine.

I just started reloading. I use titegroup because that's what I have been able to find consistently. I've tried standard loads all the way down to 4.0 gr and they all worked in my xd and xds. I have gotten a chronograph yet.

I like Titegroup but I would like to try some of the new CFE powder. The best I EVER used was Winchester Super Lite, WSL, and of course they no longer make it! Winchester Action Pistol was good too, same problem.

RedDot or Bullseye or TiteGroup

Which would be your powder of choice for 230 grain 45 auto standard loads ??

The answer is "yes.

From your list I would say Titegroup.
Promo ( Red Dot) works well but I prefer
HP38/Win231 for .45.
(still need to test my jars of ZIP and #2 to see if they displace HP38 as my favorite)
