I am getting really frustrated as the LnL problems continue. I tried calling Hornady but they closed at noon today and will reopen on Monday so once again I am turning to y'all for help.
I will keep this short-
Being tired of the PTX sticking issue I decided to get an expander die and switch from the PTX to the FACTORY pistol powder sleeve.
Problem:
.617 PTX
.624 Powder Sleeve
.619 Powder measure adapter lower assembly
Now I'm no rocket scientist but I think .624 > .619 and the assembly will not accept the factory powder sleeve that came with the press.
Anyone have similar issues?

Zero and check the accuracy of your calipers. I have a HF Junk that is off in specific ranges. I don't trust them for anything except measure wood.

Did your physically try to insert it and confirm it's over size.
I did. Went to slide it in and it would not fit. That's what lead me to measure. Sleeve is too big for the assembly.
My calipers are fine and adjusted.

I don't think that is the powder sleeve but I can't think of where else it would fit. The center hole is too large to be a powder sleeve unless we are looking at the top rather than the bottom.

Anyone have similar issues?
I did not have this issue and I had started with the pistol insert before moving to PTX. I don’t have ready access to my old powder sleeve to measure it, sorry. Looking forward to hearing what Hornady says about this because machining that sleeve should have a QC check to insure it’s going to fit. Good luck!

My PTX measures at 0.621. the long pistol insert measure at 0.620
Thank you for doing that!
Your PTX at .621 and mine at .617 I would consider the same based on different calipers and my PTX fits perfectly in the assembly. I never used the powder sleeve that came with the LnL AP because I purchased the bullet feeder die which came with the PTX so the sleeve never got opened. It was still in the plastic bag it came in. I only have 1 Hornady press and keep all Lee and Hornady parts and pieces in separate sealed plastic tubs and I checked the Lee tub to make sure. Their powder through expander assembly is completely different.
I even looked up the powder drop on line and mine matches the picture exactly. Maybe they put a .45 or other caliber powder sleeve in with my press by mistake at the factory? I don' know but I have just about reached my limit with Hornady- Their smug response and brush off on the phone to my PTX sticking was all I need to really put a damper on our relationship.

Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to read this and for your help. After typing this, I am guessing that they did put the wrong powder sleeve in with the kit. It is the only thing that could make sense. The bad part of it is that with all of the insanity going on, no one is in any hurry to ship anything.I hope you are all staying safe and health.

I had nothing but problems with my Hornady powder measure and the PTX expander. It refused to bell the .45 acp cases reliably. The worst was that using unique or w231 for .45 acp it would throw about 4 or 5 squib or no powder charges per 100 rounds. With the pistol rotor and micro adjust insert, or the rifle rotor.

I solved my problems by selling the LNL powder measure and replacing it with a Dillon measure, die and funnel. You have to use a sping like on the old Dillon set up to return the slide. You also need a screw and nut to hold the safety levers together so no safety return rod is needed. I have loaded a few thousand rounds with the Dillon measure without a single squibb!

The three sleeves that came with my L-N-L all measure about 0.619". Seems like one measuring 0.624" is oversize. One that large wouldn't fit in my adapter either.

You might try a rifle sleeve. Depending on the caliber you are reloading, one of those might work.

Just wanted to give an update and be done with this part of the LNL nightmare.
I was able to get a Hornady pistol powder sleeve that fit correctly and ditch the PTX. My press is as smooth as butter!!! So smooth I thought something was wrong! LOL Even the priming is working 100% perfect.
I wet sanded the PTX with 800 and 1000 grit sand paper and then polished with Flitz. The PTX is very smooth and slippery but still binds just a bad as before. I replaced it with the powder sleeve and believe it or not, my powder drops are exact. When weighing for 5.4 grains I had slight variations of 5.25 to 5.15 with the PTX. Now I have 5.4 every single throw.

As of now, and I am not sure what direction I will end up with but I have just sized and primed 500 cases and switching things out. I have put my Lee powder through expander in station 1 to expand only, powder drop in two minus PTX, bullet drop in three, Lee seat in four and Lee factory crimp die in five. The Lee powder through expander is working great with the Hornady bullet feeder.
I could use the seat/crimp die in place of the two step process of seating and crimping separately but right now, I am very happy with the operation and really like the factory crimp die and I am not sure I want to lose that.
Anyway-
Thanks to everyone for reading this and for your willingness to help. I hope this might help others down the road.
