What's your latest bucket list handgun?

I’d like a Dan Wesson someday. Single actions always catch my eye, maybe a Single Six in 32 cal.

A Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Special.

A Makarov.

Apparently my handgun taste does not tend toward the exotic.

Small pocket.22 auto, no idea what make. hdbiker

hdbiker, we just bought a pair of Ruger LCPII 22 LR’s. Sweet little handguns. Be certain that you “prove” the magazines prior to relying on the little gun for defense. We’ve experienced a few “fail to feed’s” with a couple of our 6 magazines. Doesn’t happen often, but once at the wrong time.....may be a a bad thing!

The only thing we did to really make them a pleasure to shoot. We painted the sights to get much better contrast......groups much better! memtb

Sig P210, S&W 44 mag, Napoleonic sea service pistol, 45 Colt Govt. WW2 issue

At the mid point of my seventh decade I am simply not all that interested in acquiring the next greatest thing in regards to firearms. Also I am not a collector/accumulator. Yes I have certain handguns limited to 9X19mm, 45ACP, mainly and also 44MAG/SPL ,38Spl all shooters.

Personally I would like to acquire one of the 1984 S&W 5" 27-3 50 year FBI Commemorative revolvers in the wooden presentation case. It was made on the 50th anniversary of the FBI being authorized to carry firearms. I already have the 100th Anniversary Glock 22 and Remington 870, both available only through the FBI Agents Association.

Smith & Wesson 586 - no dash, it was my first handgun, bought NIB in 1984. I ran into a financial pinch about 4 years later and sold it. It's the only firearm I truly regret parting with. IMO, it's the finest looking revolver ever produced.
I'm sorry for your loss, I would feel the same.

ACF0BF83-BA71-46EB-9CCA-DEEBFBE9E043.jpeg Braced contender is my latest. I don’t have a good pic of it yet. It’s together though and I’m headed to shoot it in the morning. The other recent ones are a S&W model 1 and model 1-1/2. Before that was a S&W 38 single action and 32 safety hammerless. The time before that was a S&W model 10 that happened right about the time I got my S&W 38 safety hammerless going. Seems to be a trend... I didn’t know until recently just how much I like S&W revolvers. The contenders get a pass for being S&W by marriage.

edit to add pic. Shoots nice enough. Was raining and I didn’t really shoot for accuracy. I got it bouncing around a soda can at 30 yards before taking this pic.

Not sure, whatever piques my interest when I have the walking money for it.
Right now, the itch is leaning for a Beretta 950B 22 short or a North American Arms 22 short revolver No particular reason other than they are different.

Ruger Redhawk in 45 colt/acp is on my list for a handgun, also looking for a 4.5" pocket police in .36

I have an itch I can’t scratch for an RIA Tac Ultra 9mm double stack 1911. Nothing special, I just can’t locate one.

I’ve also developed a hankering for a Browning Hi Power.

Actually, I’ve had it for about 6 or 7 years.....but, have only in the last year started working very seriously with it. Hope to get deer, elk, black bear with it. A S&W 460 XVR (8 3/8”)! Finally have it working with my 400 grain cast bullets....3” groups (from rest), with red dot (reflex) sight @ 100 yards, 1420 mv. It should be a good 150 yard big game handgun....at least that’s the plan! memtb

I’m on notification lists for the North American Ranger II. Just want it because their Minis are little quality jewels... and the Ranger is cool, IMO.

Small pocked .22 rimfire. I looked at a Walther P22 but it doesn't get good reviews. hdbiker

I’ll know when I see it. A nice model 90 or 1906 in 22lr would do it, as would a pre 70 series gold cup that’s nice but not safe queen nice. Or a Smith 52 to replace the one I sold 30 years ago (kicks self...). Or maybe a Sig P210 esp if Swiss. Hard to say...

A 1911 in 5.7x28 or 224 boz to make a comeback (or I just wildcat the darn thing. 10mm case, 80gr 224)

Both will require the frame to be stretched or made from two guns like the original Lars were in. Hence why it's a bucket list gun.
