In the process of changing my EDC Light : Suggestions
The streamlight microstream pictured is simple on/off tailcap. Nice and bright..good battery life. AAA batteries.
I also have an O-light that looks just like the streamlight. It is also a good AAA light, but has high/low on tailcap.
Both have a pocket clip that will slide onto a hatbill.

BA7F49E6-87DE-4B6D-8FBB-BCCEDFE87FCC.jpeg I have been in my current job now for 5 months. I deliver car parts, so it’s a pretty mobile gig but I am very rarely more than 10 ft from the truck. My EDC has grown a lot and generally resides in the truck unless I go to a couple customers shops that I choose to carry on my person. One of which had a drive-by within eyesight this weekend.

Taurus PT99 15+1
Extra PT99 mag
Cheapo but ridiculous bright flashlight
Cheapo tactical pen
Kershaw folder.

when visiting one of my rougher shops I generally have my miroku Liberty chief in a pocket holster.

Rural King! I can’t remember their off brand but I bought about a dozen of their version of the microstream and it’s great. It didn’t hurt that they were 6 bucks. Kept 1 and gave the rest as Christmas presents. I loved mine until my daughter got ahold of it and it now resides with my 10mm brass and a few detents and detent springs in the wild blue yonder. I might stop and buy a couple of them today, I go to a shop next door so I have no excuse. Plus I need some cheap shotgun shells and a pair of work gloves.

Sounds like what I'd get my sons-I'm thinking a little higher quality for myself, though.
Actually, I get my older son the cheap headlamps at Walmart every once in a while. He uses, abuses, and loses them at a regular rate while hunting raccoons.

Basically what Ive carried for the last 12 years or so with a couple of changes just recently. The 17 in the pic took the place of my old "Gilly" 17 last year. The Streamlight ProTac HL-X replaced one of my old PolyTac's, and the Boker Butterfly replaced an old Spyderco Magnitude. Carried the Leatherman since the mid 90's

If you're looking for a new light, Im really liking the ProTac. 1000 lumens to the PolyTacs 275 and its basically the same size. With the ProTac, I can clearly see the tree row out in the field behind the house 300 yards away. The PolyTac would show me the deer's eyes, where the ProTac shows me the deer.

It comes with a rechargeable battery and will take 123's as well. I got an extra pair of rechargeable batteries for it off Amazon for $30.

This is a g30sf, bought new in November 2012, it's been with me just about everywhere I go since then. Creeping up on 10 years, the finish has held up better then expected and this gun just works, chunky but short and heavy enough to be pleasant to shoot. I love this ugly duck. In my opinion there is no finer carry gun, but what do I know?
If I found something better, I'd be carrying it without hesitation but it remains to be seen.
Holster is from black rhino.
Ammo is short barrel variant of Speer gold dot 230 grain.
9 round factory glock mag with a pair of 13 rd g21 factory mags for reload always near by.

Great Scot
I’ve occasionally been unfaithful with a P365 SAS and a Ruger LCP Max, but I keep coming back to this gem. I just put a Pachmayr Guardian grip on it. So easy to carry 24/7.

I originally bought this KelTec PF9 in 9mm to be the backup for my 4" 1911 I carry IWB. It still fills that capacity but over the last 5-6 years has become my EDC in this Galco Pocket Holster. As you can see it is almost worn smooth so much that the hook shaped bottom is what keeps the holster in my pocket when I draw it out. I love the fact that I can drop this gun/holster in the pocket of any type pf pant I wear and it literally disappears. Here is the holster when new and what it looks like today.
